Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings — Restaurant in Pompano Beach

First off I’m gonna state that when I went, I was absolutely treated great by the staff. The owner was there greeting customers and the staff was super attentive to every need. The cleanliness of the place was absolutely on point. Now, the reason you are here reading this. How was the food? Well, It’s safe to say this may have been one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve had, which for a more fast food spot is mind blowing. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection, with no burning or crisping like some other places. I didn’t have onions so I don’t know how those were, but the cheese was a very flavorful topping, but not completely overwhelming, and because I like my own flair, I added pickled jalapeños which were a perfect addition. Now, I would be leading you astray if I also didn’t mention the bread. It was a perfect mixture of freshly baked solid, but being able to absorb the juices from the steak. If I didn’t wolf it down so fast I would have had a picture here. The cheese fries were also fantastic. Not too soggy not too crispy and perfectly salted. If this is what I have to look forward to in a casual cheesesteak place, then they do not disappoint!

I actually forgot to mention the strawberry lemonade… You absolutely need to try it, I watched them take puréed, strawberries, and put it in the lemonade....

Service was above and beyond. Husband and I were visiting from another state. The owners were super friendly and made some awesome recommendations for places to visit near our hotel room. All of the recommendations did NOT disappointment. Food was perfect and made with our specific diet restrictions. When we left, my husband thought he left his phone inside. He went to walk to the door and I beeped the horn because I found it. At the same time, a random person in the parking lot was approaching my husband. Both owners ran to the door because they thought the horn beeping was an alarm for distress and they quickly stepped out and stood in the way of the man approaching us. It looked like they were familiar with him and he quickly did a 180 and walked the other way. We felt dumb because we were only actually looking for the phone but their compassion and going the extra mile is what will bring us back to their establishment when we visit...

My Mom and I tried Charley’s Cheesesteak & Wings for the first time yesterday. We were looking for something near by since we were in the area! As soon as we walked in the server immediately greeted us. She was very pleasant! We order the 6 piece Buffalo Wings! My Mon ordered hers without sauce! My Mom’s wings were fried so hard that she couldn’t even eat them….she immediately threw them away! I had a similar experience, I had sauce, but they were fried very hard, chicken was dry and I ate 2 and that was it!! The only thing that I liked was the Lemonade!
