Topgolf Pompano Beach — Restaurant in Pompano Beach

Edit: the response from “owner” below seems to be nothing more than an automated one to give the appearance they care. I went to the suggested site and filled out the form to which another automated email was received saying that my inquiry was forwarded to the specific location and I will be hearing back within 48 hours. That was two weeks ago. Again, I didn’t write this review intending on receiving anything more than acknowledgment, some sort of legitimate explanation, and to give others a heads up to how it operates. Unfortunately their “customer service” in response to my review only confirmed my rating. My initial experience was as follows:

Went with a group of people from work for a holiday get together on a Tuesday afternoon. Wasn’t able to make a reservation online so was forced to call to reserve the days before and never received a call back after multiple attempts. It was just to be sure we had the spots but figured we would be ok walking in anyways on a Tuesday. We had 10 people, two bays, golfed, ate and drank for about two hours. At around 4:30 our time was up but we still had a fresh pitcher and were waiting on a burger one of us had ordered that our waitress forgot. She may have been new but said we couldn’t order more unless we extended time on the bay to which we agreed since we were enjoying ourselves. She attempted a few times to add an hour for us and she “didn’t know why it wasn’t letting her do it” and walked away. We assumed she had to add it at the main desk and she returned. We tried to order some sodas and another pitcher to go with our forgotten burger and were once again told we couldn’t order because our time was up to which we again told her to add time and she said she couldn’t do it. While my coworker was trying to quickly down his burger that we had just gotten, someone I assume to be a manager came to tell us we needed to take it into the bar area to finish our food since our time had ended, to which we again explained we have requested to add more time. His explanation was that there must be a reservation which is odd because we couldn’t make one the day before, and there were PLENTY of bays open to use all around us. What started off well, ended pretty abruptly and rude. We were practically begging to spend more money, so we just left and...

Serving staff was disorganized and not particularly friendly. Ordered food at the bar as we waited for our section, and the server seemed to be on some type of drug acting very odd, hyper, and jittery. Before the food came out we were assigned our bay. We had already paid for our food and asked the server if the food could be served at our bay since it hadn’t come out yet, and she said yes and we gave her the bay number so it could be served there. 30 minutes went by while we were at our bay and a good runner brought something we didn’t order and we informed him it wasn’t ours. Then one of our food orders came and we told the server that we were missing other food and the server said the food orders were switched up with the other table next to us. The server assigned to our bay was not attentive at all with drinks or the food. We waited patiently 20 more min for the other food to come out and it didn’t, we hadn’t seen our server at all and informed another server of the missing food and they gave an excuse that it was busy and that bar food wasn’t normally delivered at the bay even the though the server at the bar said they could serve it there. We asked for a manger to resolve the issue so we could be refunded and no one came in a red shirt. When we explained the issue to the server, when she finally came back, she denied that the food was mixed up or that the food was late / not coming out and put in the order again for us after we already had paid for it and asked for a refund since it didn’t come. The food really wasn’t very good for the price. Then, a complete different server brought us our check and informed us that our server didn’t charge us for the food that came late (which made no sense since we had already paid for the food at the bar). Then after our golf time ended we were finishing our food that came late and the server asked us to leave the section because another party needed to sit at the bay. The whole situation genuinely ruined the experience for me and I’ve been to top golf before at the Hollywood location and was never this dissatisfied. Top golf has amazing people who work here, they smile for days and are super helpful. I love it so much that I'm almost here every day and I have only picked up the sport about twelve days ago.

Not only is the staff amazing , but the activities for golf are friendly for any level of golfer. I feel quite special when I arrive and some of the Stagg even know my name because I go so often.

If you are looking to improve your golf swing or just want to hang out with your friends, this is the place to go. It is up and coming , and it is guaranteed to be a good time for all☆☆☆☆☆

There are so many amazing people that work here, but I will just name a few that have really gone the extra mile to be super welcoming and helpful....Will and the other Wil, Eva, Michael who knows how to properly serve hot tea with etiquette- thank you, Curtis- always with a smile, Shelly who sleeps there like me, Keuon, Levi, Ashlynd, Joey, Alex, Gio, Brandon, Sergio, and many others I can't spell their names correctly but have made me smile while I struggle to contact the ball with this new sport.

Thanks for being you and having amazing employee training with such a lively, caring staff. It truly is the highlight of my day with life that happens around us.

I will cherish these moments before I move out of Florida for my many new adventures. I'm glad to see there is a Top Golf close to my hometown in Pittsburgh, but of course, there isn't one yet in Ukraine, where I'll be going to the front lines soon. Please pray for safety for Humanitarian aid.
