My husband, two young daughters, and I stayed here for a week. Originally I had wanted something right on the beach, but finding available units using available timeshare points is hit or miss and this was the only available resort with two bedrooms. I am so glad the ocean front resorts were booked because after seeing them in person to use their parking for the beach it was apparent that the Palm Aire was in much better condition and had better amenities. My girls loved the large pool on the property. Although there are two pools we primarily used the larger one. I loved that it went from very shallow to deeper so both my kids had areas to enjoy. There is a small pond with a ton of water fowl and iguanas and other reptiles. After seeing an employee feed some old bananas and apples to the wildlife we made it a point to go down every afternoon, find a shady place to sit and feed the iguanas some grapes, strawberries, apples, and/or kiwi. I would usually make a stop on the way to Kisses from Italy to grab a latte. There were events throughout the week, and the best by far was a wild animal show in the breezeway. We got to meet so many cool creatures up close. My daughter's favorite was the fennec fox and lemur. The room we stayed in was clean and spacious. It was a two bedroom and had plenty of space for the four of us. The balcony was huge and overlooked one of the pools. Thankfully it overlooked the smaller pool so the noise level at night wasn't too crazy. Both bedrooms and the living room had large TV's, and the master bedroom had a nice large jacuzzi bathtub. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and even had some small salt and pepper shakers. Small things like that are always appreciated because I don't want to have to worry about buying things like salt. Try your best to avoid the timeshare tour if you're not planning on purchasing although that's easier said than done. My husband was trying to check in for almost 20 minutes while continously saying no thanks to the tour and incentives before he finally caved just to get us checked in. The woman we were paired with was so furious we didn't buy a timeshare that my 6 year old was in tears. The gift cards to The Beach House were appreciated, and I definitely recommend eating there. Overall it was a really nice vacation. We rarely get a chance to get away, and I'm really glad we ended up at this resort. If we get a chance to visit the area again I'd love to stay there again.

Great family-friendly resort Staff on Tuesday 25th was polite and kind spirited. They do attempt to offer a sale pitch. Just decline and carry on with your vacation. The sister property is on the beach. With car pass we enjoyed the beach. Great food near... *Ferns Gully Caribbean Grill!! 🔥 *Flanigans Restaurant Great choice and specials Lester Diner, great breakfast Can't go wrong at the Dollar General either Part 2... This review is for those who handle phone services. Decorum is required when a guest has requested any information about funds and receipts. My family checked out at 4 am Saturday 6-29. The young man at the front desk stated he would email the receipt. We never received an email from my husband or husband. REQUEST PRINT OUT NO MATTER THE TIME. I was being considerate with how early it was and didn't insist yesterday morning. So, I called to make an inquiry about my receipt and deposit today on Sunday at 10:10 am. When I asked about the deposit and then receipt. The young lady was short and rude. The young lady was reluctant to resolve my receipt issue. When I stated we DIDN'T received it. The young lady attempted to stall me as well. When I ask to speak with a manager. I had to ask her what email they had on file. When that was actually the 1st thing she should have asked me. So she could resolve the matter. Instead, I was met with a rude tone on the phone call. I ask, can't you just enter the right email? Her response was no. ??? The email the front deck clerk entered was clearly incomplete and incorrec. I ask why can't this be done? She gave an unprofessional response that doesn't make sense. When I then ask to speak with someone in concierge. She again attempted to stall. Then she transferred me somewhere cause no one picked up. Smh... about 15 minutes later, she called back asking for an email from my husband. That is all she had to do when I suggested correcting the matter. It was a simple fix if she would have asked her maneger vs. getting defensive. I suggest re-training for this young lady. This encounter knocked the service star to 3 due to this young lady conduct. Overall, property was pleasant, and we enjoyed the beach and sister property.

We stayed at this resort for a week on a RCI exchange. The resort impressed us very positively right from our arrival, for its large surface area and for the excellent hospitality we received at the reception desk, where we checked-in quite quickly, even almost an hour before the scheduled time. Once we entered our accommodation on the seventh floor of the "Fountain Palm", the main building of the four that make up the resort, the good appreciation we had at first impact also increased: a very large, clean and equipped apartment with all comfort, with a beautiful and fully equipped kitchen complete with everything, dining area, living area with sofa bed, large bedroom with a king bed and large en-suite bathroom with shower, Jacuzzi, washing machine and dryer corner, a second bedroom bed with two queen beds, a second bathroom and, finally, a balcony overlooking the main pool area (the resort has four, one for each building). We were four and we stayed very comfortably, but the apartment would have been very comfortable for at least six people as well. In addition to the four swimming pools, the resort offers many other appreciable services included in the rate and free for guests: a very large gym equipped with many modern equipment; basketball half court, beach volleyball court and tennis court, with the possibility of asking for free rental of rackets and balls; mini golf circuit; area with three gas barbeques; children's activity center; pool table. The resort is surrounded by green areas and lakes which offer excellent opportunities for relaxing walks and jogging (among geese, birds, squirrels and iguanas). The resort is about 15/20 minutes far by car from Pompano Beach, where guests can make free use of three different beach facilities in order to spend a few pleasant hours by the sea. Upon check-in, we were given a very comfortable elastic bracelet with a magnetic tag to access the apartment and all the many listed services. The resort is about an hour's drive from Miami, while Fort Lauderdale is about 25-30 minutes away. It has been an exciting and relaxing week, fully satisfying, which I highly recommend you try.

Do not stay here!

Stayed June 2023 for 8 days, and the whole family was completely disappointed. Upon arrival we were given the wrong level room. We booked a plus and got standard, a significant downgrade. When challenged the staff claimed our plus reservation was not in their system and the situation was out of their control. When we presented the manager with printed verification of the plus reservation, the attitude changed and they suddenly “found” our plus reservation. However, there were no plus rooms available, in the managers own words “too many last minute reservations”. Which in reality means they gave our room away to someone who requested an upgrade. After much discussion and very rude treatment from the management, they found us a plus room, but it was not available until the next day. Meaning, we had to vacate the room before 12:00, put all of our luggage into storage and wait around until the staff was good and ready to finally give us the correct room. Essentially, we lost an entire day of vacation because of the mix-up. The Palm Aire management refused to take any responsibility for the issue, and instead told us there was no need “to get snippy” when we were very upset with their lack of professionalism and ability to provide the service we paid for. At one point the manager outright ignored my wife, stopped conversation with her, turned away, and attempted to only address the situation with me. Obviously an unprofessional tactic that was not welcome or accepted. We should have heeded the other online reviews about the blatant bait and switch tactics. Completely set a bad time for the whole stay.

Beyond this issue (which supposedly we might get a refund for that one night difference) the facilities were at best, just OK. Compared to Wyndham resorts like Bonnet Creek and the Great Smokies, this place is a dump. Dirty floors and carpets. Beat up appliances. A garbage disposal that sounded like it was going to fall out of the sink, and more. The pool towel vending machines were frequently empty during peak times and late hours. On premise amenities were barely average quality, the bar was just sad, and there were no quality food options. Most of the luggage carts were barely functional with work out bearings that made them difficult to move. Our patio was covered in black mold/dirt and desperately needed to be pressure washed. This was also visible on the buildings facing the main pool. I could keep going but you get the point. This is NOT a luxury resort, period.

To top off the whole trip, my wife accidentally left her Dyson hair dryer in the master bathroom and didn’t realize it was missing until the next morning. Partly because the cleaning staff was rushing us out of the room BEFORE the checkout time! We called at 6am, but the front desk staff was inept and unable to answer if the item had been found. We were instructed to call back at 9am when the house keeping department opened. We called, and again staff was unable to answer the question. Instead the staff said they would call back. Hours later, nothing. I called again and the house keeping staff rudely informed me that my wife had called at 9am, and they hasn’t found out anything. However, the staff person abruptly cut herself off mid sentence, and said they didn’t find anything in our room and that it was already occupied, so there was nothing else they could do. Does that sound like a professional response? Not to me! So either the cleaning staff is completely incompetent and didn’t see a large bright blue storage box on the bathroom counter while “cleaning” and the new occupants claimed the item as their own, OR the cleaning staff saw it and stole it. I’m not sure which one is worse. Regardless, I do not hold them liable for the missing item, it was out mistake to leave it behind, but that sure doesn’t make you feel good at the end of an already less than stellar stay at what is sold as a luxury resort.

I don’t recommend this place and it this was the last straw for us with Wyndham. We are divesting. Anyone want to buy...

I stayed at Wyndham Palm-Aire a couple of months ago and it was great - staff was very friendly and I had a nice two bedroom unit in the Fountain Palm building. I decided to come back and bring friends for a birthday trip. Could not have imagined how terrible this experience would be and I’m extremely embarrassed I brought friends here. When we arrived we were told the resort was full and they didn’t have our two bedroom for us (which we had reserved) but they could put us in a one bedroom for the first night and move us the next afternoon. My guests wanted to get settled in one place so the front desk staff member said they had one two-bedroom unit left over at the golf course. We didn’t want to stay there because we had taken a Lyft from the airport and no longer had transportation and we wanted to be close to the amenities at the main resort for the same reason (at this point we hadn’t seen how sketchy the ‘building by the golf course’ was). When we asked if we could have two one bedroom units instead of the two bedroom unit at the main resort since they said they didn’t have a two bedroom for us, we were told it wasn’t possible for the person helping us to make that kind of decision. We asked to speak to a manager/supervisor and were told they were gone for the day and couldn’t be reached. We asked if we could get a ride over to the building by the golf course (called Queen Palm, which sounds nice, right?) and were told the bell hop who drove guests over in a golf cart had gone for the day as well. What could we do because one one-bedroom just wasn’t going to work logistically for us? Finally someone asked the security team if they could drive us and our luggage over. The Queen Palm building is very sketchy and looks like an old strip motel. It is off the main property and outside the security gate. We had our misgivings but we went to check out our room - it was already occupied and I’m not sure who was more startled when we opened the door. Now we were stuck outside (at night) without a ride. I called the front desk and they weren’t picking up. Finally got ahold of someone and had to stand there waiting 20 minutes for keys to a different room. (Also, the room they had given us that was occupied - now their keys didn’t work for their room any longer.) We were finally put into a two bedroom unit at the old strip motel but it isn’t the resort stay birthday celebration I had planned on after staying here previously (nothing like their pictures of a beautiful resort). I can’t believe they didn’t make any amends and will be calling to make plans somewhere else tomorrow once reservations are open. I do not recommend this resort due to the possibility you can end up in the less than desirable location across the street and it feels like false advertising. They want my friends to attend the sales pitch - how do they expect to sell any timeshares with this kind of poor product...

What happen to this place 🤦🏻‍♂️ I have stayed here many times as a renter I always thought very highly of it one of my favorite resorts to stay ! Untill March 10th-15 2024 we found a listing on Craigslist made a deal with the owner for 2 bedroom we arrived for check in at 4:00 and was told they have no room available if we can give them sometime and that was fine no big deal they called us 10 mins later the room was ready ! We was not in the room for more then 10 mins my daughter slips and falls walking in to the kitchen ( the rug and tiles was really wet they did not dry them ) called security they took a statement and mentioned the tiles was just cleaned she was in pain but she waited it out next day she was in more pain went to the er they give her medication and told her to folllow up . Back to the room not only was the rug and tile in the front ridiculous wet so was the rug and the room … the ac was not working they sent some one to fix it he reset it throw out cold for a few hours then went out again this happen many times the nights was horrible tossing and turning with sweats they sent another person up same thing fixed it for a few hours and it went out again ! The toilet did not flush the water pressure was ridiculously low in the kitchen the shower head would keep falling down as someone was showering .. so where at a resort that’s making it difficult to shower or use the toilet and it’s freaking hot at all times the washing machine does not drain the clothes when we called they said the engineer is not working (we got stuck with soaked wet clothes ) . On the porch at around 12:00 am guy starts yelling and cussing wanted to argue called the security on them . Spoke with the resort manager Kate asked her very I nicely the least the resort can do is comp one extra night to make up for all the difficulty’s she says she will see what she can do calls the next day offers points for one night to be credited back to the owners account I explained I am a renter she offers a gift card for $125 for my wife to pick up after 3:00 under her name I don’t fell that was a good offer what so ever it was embarrassing if anything then they call the owner and ask him to come pick it up he thinks he’s intitled to it so he keeps it ! What does this have to do with the owner why did the manager issue him a card he was not staying there how did this effect him in any way ????The more I sit in think the more upset I get on how this was handled kate has the worst sense of management I still can’t believe how bad this went down this room 581 needs to be redone asap someone

Management I hope you see this !! Not a way to manage a resort it’s a damn shame not only was my daughter hurt her time at the resort was ruined she could not do simple thing like go to the pool or for that fact shower or use the freaking toilet or wash clothes...
