Remarkable find. Some time ago, driving up from the city, I was asked to pick up a birthday cake at this bakery. While waiting I spotted the classic Kaiser rolls - which I know quite a bit about. I bought a half dozen and they were as wonderful as they looked. Most rolls labeled as "Kaiser rolls" in other stores are not authentic. Genuine Kaiser rolls have unique characteristics including an outer crust and a soft denser inside. They are rare to find (in New York City, generally only in the outer boroughs). These were the real deal – and baked right on premises - in a family owned bakery. I always stop by now when I'm in the area. I stock up on Kaiser rolls and generally pick up one or two other items. Everything freshly baked right there. A delightful family owned business. The lady who is generally there on weekends is just charming once you get to know her. A real treasure in Pompton Lakes New Jersey....

I recently picked up an assortment of items for guests that were visiting. Butter cookies, crumb buns and some cupcakes. I wasn't even sure if they had cupcakes because there were none in the display case. The gentleman who served me said he had some in the back but they needed to be piped with frosting (if I had a couple of minutes he would do so for me.) Everything was fresh and delicious, especially the cupcakes. The white buttercream frosting was perfect; silky smooth and not overly sugary and the cake itself moist and super fresh. The topper...I handed the gentleman the $15 due, thanked him and started to walk out and he said "Oh no!..." I stopped dead in my tracks as he said "you gave me $20 too much." We just moved to the area, and happened to walk by here. Thank God we decided to enter! This bakery is top notch in flavor and presentation. I couldn't believe how good everything was! We purchased a selection of about 12 different baked food and 11 of the 12 were excellent. Only the Cheese Cake fell short, but I'm a CC foodie and am very picky over how I like them made. I'd give a 9/10 or 10/10 everything and a 6/10 on the Cheese Cake.

The man who helped us was extremely friendly and offered us a free cookie for the kids. Couldn't have been nicer!
