When you put the directions the parking lot is on the side of the restaurant across the street ,in front of the domino's. Though it was a little rustic inside and its very small, it's not fancy whatsoever. I'm picking up so hopefully the reviews about the food are on point! I walked in and the young cashier girl asked me if she could help me right away. My order was already at the register. Inside the restaurant there were 2 tables sat. Not busy at all. So pick up was in and out! Well...I got home and unpacked my order. I the packaging was great you'll see the picture below. But the edamame caught my eye, it wasn't a bright green. Then the pork buns caught my eye sauce was everywhere, the broth looked good and so did the add ins. I started with pork buns the sauce usually put on top was a little too much and it made it a messy eat. The taste was good. Then I went for the edamame....this is what I was looking forward to nibbling on. It had an off color than what edamame usually looks like. I took the 1st bite and it wasn't what I expected. Felt like it was passed its time and when they steamed it , it became squishy. So sadly I pushed it away. Now I figured I'd try the Ramen. I ordered the Tonkotsu with Pork chashu and thin ramen noodles. The broth and add ins were good, but a bit bland. The Ajitama egg gave it a small punch of flavor. There was white onion in it which out of all the Ramen experiences this was the 1st one I ate with white onion. The description said it would have sauteed kombu ....I looked for it there was none and kombu is dark soooo you'd see it right away. All in all it was an ok experience. I had just gotten out of work and was really excited for Japanese today but i guess it was not meant for me today. I do recommend this restaurant if you are a beginner in exploring into Japanese ramen, and see what it's about. The flavors are mild and wont intimidate. And if you're happy with that then level up to other Ramen experiences. I hope you...
Read moreSo I have been here plenty of times. Today we had 5 people order for lunch - one meal was completely vegetarian due to an allergy. When the food was brought back to the office, there was a shrimp in the vegetable broth. We called to let them know and they acted like we were lying. They made us bring the bowl in, and then came out saying “that shrimp wasn’t there when we sent it out. I again repeated it was in the broth and due to an allergy, this was making me nervous. She said a new one was made but never apologized for the error. Also we had asked for hot sauce on the side and a few Extra on pick up- there were none in the order. When I went back for the new bowl, she was like “I already gave these to you” and I said as extras, but we asked for them with the order too. So she took the receipt and counted how many we requested. I am very put off and frustrated as I tipped well and was basically being accused of lying. I promise you, although they have good bowls, I will never support this business again.
Editing to add; as you can see by the owners response, they are still blaming the customer… as I explained- there was one shrimp in the broth. It’s absolutely absurd they will not take...
Read moreDefinitely not authentic, unfortunately the ramen is mediocre. The pork was burnt at the edges which made the flavor of the Soyu Ramen taste burnt as well. On top of that the pork was not marinated and is obviously pan fried or something which is not authentic at all (it should be braised and marinated), also the egg was not seasoned at all it was just a plain boiled egg. The watermelon bubble tea was warm and tasted like strawberry milk. And after i ate (b/c i was not the one paying for my meal and wanted to be polite to my friend) the hostess asked me how it was and noticed my facial expression and lack of enthusiasm and i told her i did taste burnt and she said im sorry you should have told me so i can make you a new one (which i shouldnt have to do anyway i just wanted to leave at that point), here is 15% off your next purchase to compensate (which i didnt want i kept saying it was fine) only to find out that is there promotion anyway on the menu. It was just disappointing b/c i love ramen so much and this place left me with a bad taste (literally)...
