I've only been here for lunch. Never for happy hour or a meal in the evening. Let me just start off by saying the food is pretty darn good. And when I have tough days at work, I'll have a pint of Guinness with my lunch. The bartenders always pour Guinness correctly. So for food and drinks, I'll be happy to give a 5 star rating.
The only issue I have with this location is the hostess. An older lady (in her 50s or 60s) who doesn't seem like she enjoys her position at the establishment. I usually go alone or with a coworker for lunch. When we have a lot of time to eat, we would like to be comfortable and ask for a table so we can lean onto a chair and rest our backs. For some reason, she always suggest we sit at the bar.
As a paying customer, I believe I have the right to request to be seated where I feel most comfortable. There are days where I just want to slump back and relax while I eat. While other days, I want to be done eating in 15 minutes, so I grab a seat at the bar. Is that accommodation too much to ask for? It's one thing if the restaurant was extremely busy and real estate is hard to come by. But for the most part, when I take my lunch at 2pm, the restaurant is at 20% capacity on a good day.
Aside from the older hostess, everyone is a pleasure to work with. The waitstaff is very nice and friendly.
Overall, I would say 3.5 stars. If I were treated differently at the door, I would say this is a solid 4.5 star...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHard to describe this one. I ordered take out during the mist of Covid-19. The lady who took the order at the counter was confused, but still pretty polite regardless. The service was good, but couldn't save this review because dear Lord, the food. My God the food still haunts me to this day. Me and my party all decided to try the corn beef sliders together with fries, and boy how much of a sin that was for us. See, my dad's Irish, and once he took a bite of that sandwich when we got back home, all I could see was moderate disappointment on his face, so I took a bite of mine. The bread was pretty hard, but still chew-able, but the meat had seen better days. It was way too tough and chew-y, and I know this specific meat is supposed to be like that, but this was almost inedible and laughable. On top of that, there was barely any sauce within the sandwich, making it practically just eating dry meat with hardened bread. Presentation was a bit messy too, I wish I would've taken a picture of it. Very disappointing since I heard this place was the talk of the town. Oh well, at least the fries that came with the sandwich were pretty simple and good, that's a plus. Probably won't be coming...

After that our waitress came with our wrapped meals and said the bill was taken care of and actually dropped the meals on the table and ran from us. Even though your mgr was extremely nice and polite , we wonāt be coming back , and that is a shame we looked forward to...
