Papa Rupe Brewing Co. — Restaurant in Ponce

I immediately was impressed by the hospitality. The owner and his employees were very inviting. As it was my first time at this restaurant I was nervous to try but I Normally dive right in. I asked what drinks were popular and this restaurant and they immediately said, there signature brand. I figured it was just for promotional purposes but I tried it anyway. The papa rupe ipa was excellent. It's not your typical bitter ipa. That beer set the mood . I was now hungry but not to hungry where I'd eat anything. So I dived right in and ordered the Thai wings, with a side of beer battered onion rings, and the famous papa mcrupe burger the staff was raving about. WELL!!!!!!!!!! I've been alot of places , countries etc... this place makes the best wings I've EVER had. The onion rings were cooked to perfection and the burger was perfectly cooked to order. I was shocked. How could a new business be so on point. I was shocked and couldn't have enough. Not only will I tell everyone I know but I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant. 5 stars all around. Also, this restaurant has a very cool back story as to why it's called papa rupe. But I'll let the owner tell it if you read this far. A definite MUST VISIT if...

The Mcrupe Smash Burger was very good, and the Thai chicken wings were also good. We were surprised about the size of the wings, they were bigger than expected. Probably a little pricey , but I can understand that the size and quality made up for it. But overall, it was a great experience with great service, and with the economy that we are living is a normal to high range, when eating out. The ambience and the friendliness of the server and owner made us feel welcomed. The owner was very involved in all the process. I wish the best for this local spot. Very disappointed. I follow hamburger places and they recommended this place so well. I tried to call, but was redirected to a answering systems. When you advertise open at 12 you must follow it. Waited for fifteen minutes, open the gate and while standing in front of the door, they lock it. This was disrespectful. Could at least come out, excuse them self for being late and ask us to be pacient for waiting some extra minutes. I will come back. But this must be correct, for...
