Golden Breakfast — Restaurant in Pooler

First time visiting this restaurant and I was VERY unpleased. I ordered chicken and waffles and the chicken was awful. If I wanted bread, then that's what I would have ordered that. Tasted nothing like chicken fingers. When I told the waiter/owner she tried to tell me it wasn't bread. I then said I wanted bacon She took it back and got me the bacon. When it was time to pay, she still was charging me for chicken and waffles and not bacon. I question her about it and she basically said it was my responsibility to pay for it even though I didn't eat it. Said the price was the same for chicken fingers and waffles. When I kept complaining, she took $2 off my price. She was still insisting that I pay for something I did not eat. I will NEVER go back to this place again. I have been to other restaurants who did not argue with you about paying for something you did not eat or was not satisfied with. Awful customer...

If you're looking for a tasty, affordable, and generally no-frills breakfast, this is a good place to go. Service was very fast and the ladies working the day we went were both friendly. I got french toast and bacon and my husband got the same but with eggs as well. The french toast was good, the bacon was crispy, and the eggs were done just right. Overall nothing fancy— everything we got was fairly basic and not too different from what we could make at home (for example the french toast looks like it was made from basic sliced bread from a bag). However, if you have a family with picky eaters who prefer simplicity, this is definitely a good choice. Portion sizes were just right for us. Golden breakfast was such a nice surprise! It’s a hidden gem for sure. I ordered the seafood omelette and my husband got some normal breakfast (eggs bacon hash browns toast). He really likes the shredded hash browns, crispy. This place was just up our alley. Apparently it’s a local favorite and we got there at just the right time. There was barely anyone there when we ordered, and within 10 minutes it was completely full! The one and only waitress there was a rockstar. She quickly and efficiently handled everyone like a time management diva! Great food with a smile. We will go back for breakfast again! *admittedly I wanted to go to a boujie hipster joint, but we went here for the hash browns for my husband. We were both so happy with the decision...
