Los Bravos Mexican Grill and Cantina — Restaurant in Pooler

I placed two orders of tacos de carne asada with beans and rice (only got one order of beans and rice), four tacos de carne asada, two of which were supposed to be plain, and another order of beans and rice. Not only did I not receive the other order of rice and beans, but the two “plain” tacos had onions in them. When I called the restaurant to explain the incorrect order I had received, the manager Armando, who also told me he was the owner, told me that the tacos comes with onions and the person who wrote it must have misunderstood me. When I explained to him that I specifically asked for PLAIN tacos, he proceeded to tell me that he wouldn’t know I didn’t want onions unless I specifically told him no onions because according to what he told me, he doesn’t know what plain means when a customer asks for something plain. No resolution to the issue just excuses to cover up their mistake. I just wanted what I ordered and even more so, what I paid for and didn’t receive. I would have given this place a negative rating if I could. I will never go back...

The service here is very friendly and fast. They recently took the napkin dispensers off of the tables. I do not like this. Please return the napkin dispensers to the tables. The food is good and comes out very hot. The margaritas are strong. Make sure you have a designated driver. Happy hour deals are nice. I like the open seating and having tables with chairs instead of booths. They have plenty of both. They are very accommodating for children. They play Spanish music on the intercom and I like that. It adds an authentic feel. This is a family run business and has that feel about it. These are very nice people. And they are always willing to accommodate. I am grateful that they are in our town of Pooler. Ask for their Texas rice. I'm not sure if it's on the menu but it is the bomb. Kind of like Chinese house fried rice just Mexican style. 30 Apr ‘25 6:30. Our party of 9 was seated quickly with menus. Our server was awesome. She immediately brought chips and salsa and took our drink orders. After a few short minutes she was back with our drinks with no mistakes. Took our food orders and food came out in a reasonable length of time. The food was the problem. The chips were so stale. Salsa was very good but not on stale chips. All 9 of us were served cold food. The rice had no taste. My Chili Relleno was the worst I’ve ever had, the stuffed pepper was mushy, cold as ice, and couldn’t eat it. The small enchilada that came with my meal had the least amount of meat in it as possible and was also cold and mushy. No one in our party ate much food at all. Not good.
