Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Poplar Bluff

edit: we went back the next day or so and ordered the hot dog the lady recommended last time and made it sound like it was amazing, sadly it was a very plain, basic, salty hot dog & nothing came with it. nothing to write home about.. so i was very disappointed. the main thing this time was the guy that took our order thru the drive thru this time was very rude and was rushing us within seconds of us saying anything.. he literally asked if we wanted ketchup or mustard and as i was telling my husband what i wanted. guy said "ok, nothing i guess" and tried to continue with the rest of the order til my husband told him to slow down we wasn't done. i wont be going back after this though, yes the burgers taste good but something in them makes us sick later in the stomach so we stopped eating there, plenty of burger places that wont make u sick a few hours later... :)

I didn't eat inside but it was my first time here and had the butter burger and nacho fries and Nutella shake and it was all really good I had to eat here again today to try another one of their burgers. The lady behind the window was super nice too and wasn't rushing me even tho I was taking enough time to ask and look that the guy behind us shook his head and left 😂 i don't live here so get over it. But anyways I loved they had the nacho cheese as a dip so my fries didn't get soggy and even tho their fries are the thinnest I ever seen they wasn't soggy oily and perfectly cooked. I had a bite of my husband's bbq western burger and it was amazing as well he's getting...

I used to love coming here every weekend but the last two times I've been here have been okay but today is plain ridiculous! So today I came in they introduced themselves as Kaitlyn who was being trained and Jodiece who was the main waitress. Kaitlyn was very nice and sweet with everything that was happening but Jodiece wasn't.. first she took my order and walked off well Kaitlyn came back around 5 minutes later and said Jodiece had asked her to come ask about hash browns well I ordered 4 breakfast shooters and my grandma 2 pancakes and a piece of sausage... Later my aunt had come in and ordered French toast anyway. So she asked what kind I wanted I said I didn't think it came with any bit shredded. She said okay and went to tell Jodiece. Then a woman came and gave my grandma what she ordered but me one shooters. I said I ordered 4 she put it down said she would fix it. I waited around 20 minutes and Kaitlyn came back with two shooters. My grandma said she missed one and I asked her to forget it.. Kaitlyn said I'm so sorry and asked if I wanted to go ahead and get another I said no. She said okay and went back to the kitchen. I ate one and it was good but the second one was absolutely burnt.... So yeah... plus to top everything off she came back to get our plates and she was rude. (Jodiece was) She hasn't come to refill our glass my grandma finally had another lady get her some more coffee..... I truly don't know if I will...

May have horrible customer service. My boyfriend is blind and so I asked him if they could put his Mac chili 5 way or whatever it's called in a cup for me that they could not do thatI couldn't do it we went through the drive-thru and we was travelin. The manager said that the reason they couldn't do it was because they had to warm it up in the special try or whatever so it would be hot and they could not do what I asked them so then when they gave me my food all the foods co in the chili 5 way was called I put my finger in it and felt no one by then she neglected to grab the bag and it fell on the groundshe then told me that since the back don't want to crowd that she would not treat make my food and that she would have to give me my money back which I replied that's great that's exactly what I want so since you seen that I agreed she should give me my money back she then told me she couldn't get my money back because I needed a receipt now I had never left the drive-thru line never left the window and they never gave me a receipt and so she was telling me that she couldn't give me my money back because she needed a receipt in order to get my money that's crazy.this is not the first time that I have had a problem with the steak and shake in poplar bluff Missouri. Steak n shake has the worst customer service I have ever seen in my 40 years...
