Hibachi Express — Restaurant in Poquoson

Today I went to Hibach Express for lunch. I called my order in. I ordered L8. chicken and shrimp and I payed for extra rice and veggies..guess what I didn't get..extra veggies. As I arrived I payed for my order..as I was waiting the manager came and fussed at the cook for putting extra veggies in my box..I am looking as he's (the manager) taking the veggies and the food off of my plate. After I payed for it and gave them an extra tip as well. I asked to make sure that my plate had what I ordered. As I arrived home and checked my plate he took the food off of my plate! How or why did you take the food off of my plate?!! I payed for that terrible customer service and I drove very far to come to your restaurant. Now I decided to call back to talk the manager as opened my plate. The lady on the phone who answered and took my order was very very rude! (normally it's a very sweet young lady..where is she;she is so pleasant.) any who as I called back and talked to the lady and I let her know that I wanted to speak to her boss..she says he's busy and hangs up on me!!! I called back I let her know how rude that was to hang up on a customer! she said what do you want?!? I said I would like to speak to your supervisor and not you. you just hung the phone up on me! finally the manager gets on the phone I explained the situation and he said she didn't charge me for the veggies..I said she didn't put the extra in there. he said next time I'll give you 10% off. So what did I pay extra for? This was a very terrible experience..especially since I come there quite frequently with my children and the young lady who is normally there is so friendly to my family and I. This place was far but nice and quaint...check your plates and orders...

So I would say this place could use some work. Showed up in afternoon down time. Placed easy bento box order for beef teriyaki. Order a tea. Lil pricey for corner store but when I get my dish I ask for some white sauce, to which I am informed it's only for hibachi. I didn't know so I asked just to get one, and she told me not for the teriyaki. Lol. Ok. So other than refusal I would say portions were pretty small for hibachi or teriyaki and sad no sushi in bento box. Orange salad dressing super bitter as it had rinds present. Spring roll n shumai seemed standard possibly frozen. Unfortunately they will have to do better...

Ordered a meal that was $7.25 and one that was $8.95 with 2 teas for pickup. I was charged $29 tip optional* I asked what was so expensive as my order was not itemized on the ticket. I was told “no lunch special due to covid” nothing more elaborating..... ummm ok but still didn’t add up to what was on the menu prices..... so even with the good portion size; due to misrepresentation of prices drink price not listed and the drink size was about the size of a small drink at a fast food place and the lack of manners I will not be ordering from them again. Shame as they are...
