TL;DR - The food was fantastic as was the service. I definitely recommend this place for any occasion!
My husband and I went in for lunch today. We sat at the grill and ordered steak and chicken and steak and shrimp. The waitress was very friendly and greeted up immediately when we arrived. She definitely showed pride in her work. The decor was very nice as far as eateries go but I payed more attention to the food and less attention to the decaying carpet. We ordered sushi first and got Yum Yum Rolls which I recommend. I am pregnant so I could only eat fully cooked sushi. Again, the waitress was very helpful in showing which rolls were cooked and which weren't. For my husband and myself, we wound up spending 35.97$ plus a five dollar tip. That is quite a bit for lunch but both of us had left overs and sushi always adds to the price. The Yum Yum rolls we ordered were 7.95$ for 8 pieces. They had cheaper options at around 4$ as well. The cook was friendly and enjoyable to watch. The food tasted excellent. Our meal came with a salad with ginger dressing, rice, vegetables, and the two meats. Plus an after meal orange sliced up. The average cost for all of this was around 10$. Not too bad for the amount you get. I don't think I disliked a single thing about this place. Everything we had was delicious and everyone we talked to was helpful and friendly. As long as you can spare the extra few dollars for lunch or dinner, I think it's worth a go. (Even though you're likely to spend about the same at...
Read moreWe have been to this location several times and enjoyed it very much last night, however ,the service definitely missed the mark. I called first to be sure they were open as there have been several times they were supposed to be open and we have arrived only to find it closed. We walk in and tell him we have a party of 6 there is only one other group in the restaurant at this time and their chef was already cooking. He says let me see if we can do that ?!? Comes back sits us down at a hibachi table. Then comes back and tells my daughter she isnt in the proper chair at the table and she cant sit in the chair shes in she moved over one chair a couple was seated with us and the forbidden chair remained empty our whole meal. So in my opinion this was unnecessary to do. Then he almost told us appetizers and sushi werent allowed because it would take too long. We said we didnt mind waiting and then he rolled his eyes and put the order in. Our chef and food were absolutely 5 stars!!! If the service matched the food it would be a 5 star review. When he came back for drink refills i asked if I could get another glass of wine whenever he had a chance and he proceeded to say . Yeah I guess when i get a second. Then bussed the table that had left first wth nobody waiting for it. Super disappointed that we couldn't get the most basic level of service with...
Read moreThe food was good. The service is subjective. My wife, dad, baby, and I went to this restaurant early on a Sunday evening. There was only 1 table filled in the restaurant. We didn't have a reservation and the host had to get approval to seat us. Didn't really make sense, but every restaurant has their own operational process. Fast forward to the chef, older Asain gentleman, as he portions the food out while he's grilling it he gives all of the extras to the Caucasian family that came in after us. After dinner the bill came. The check was placed in front of my dad, thought nothing of it. I put my card with the check and handed it to the same young guy that was the host. He brings the other family at the table their check and hands it to them, so I hold my hand out to receive my check. He sits the check in front of my wife. Very disrespectful to a customer that spent $200 on dinner. All of these factors led us to believe that African American dollars are not appreciated in this establishment. Also, a bit less salt on the food would have made this a five star review for the food. To management, you may want to have some anti bias training. We're a very well established family that lives relatively close, grosses over 300k per year, and eats out 2-3 times per week. We should be your...
