My office used to go to this longhorn all the time for lunch and we received smooth and quick service with good food. When the manager left for the Williamsburg location, we definitely noticed a decline in the service, the food and the wait time. Last time we went here, the female server was busy flirting with one of the male servers at the bar and we waved her over (after 20 min of waiting to order, on our hour lunch break) and she comes to the table and says āYes, yāall need something?ā And weāre like yeah, weāve wanted to order for 20 min and we couldnāt get your attention. Her demeanor had changed and she seemed irritated that we wanted to actually eat, not just occupy seats and she got short with us during our ordering process. So we order and she messes up all of our orders, apps come out after half of our lunches and the other half is almost so late we had to just get them to go. This was a few months ago and since the location was on the decline we decided that the other experiences (such as another server mixing up all of our cards, charging each other for the other ones meal and double drinks, which also happened twice, and we were super late getting back from our lunch break.) But this last time put the nail in the coffin...we had 2 staff members arrive early to put all of the orders in (5 people), because they were able to leave 30 min early for lunch so instead of an hour, they got an hour and a half to order for us...which our 1 hour lunch for the rest of us turned into 1 hour and 20 min, which lead us again to be late for our patients...not only had they not brought our drinks yet, (25 min into service with us) we didnāt get apps until 35-40 min later, so here we had about 20 min to eat and no sign of our food...so fast forward to us being 5 min late now and no food, we not only had to get everything boxed and ready to go and pay our bill. We did not get a chance to eat there, we went back to work hungry and angry and late for our patients and we also had a staff member who didnāt get all of her food and now had to wait and run more late to get back. So the manager brought our food out with the server, very minorly apologized even after expressing our concern, they both scurried away to avoid confrontation and not 1 gesture was done to ensure their mistakes was well realized. So needless to say our entire office will not be returning to this location in the future because we gave it 4 chances and thatās more than they could...

Do NOT waste your time or energy on this place. The service and cleanliness of this restaurant are both terrible. My husband and I each placed a separate order for the spicy chicken bites (basically chicken nuggets with sauce on them. Theyāre on the appetizer menu). We know that Longhorn typically takes long so we ordered our food 30 minutes before we arrive to pick it up. It was a curbside order. After waiting 15 minutes for no one to come outside to bring us our order; I decided to go in and get it.
Per the usual, I walk in people make eye contact with me that work there and they just continue about their business. I easily waited 10 minutes before someone came over and asked me if I needed help, and the person who did greet me when I walked in, told me to go wait by the bar to pick up my order, the place was dead. There was no reason why he couldnāt help me by going to get my order. It would have taken him 2 minutes.
After waiting a little bit, a man with a beard came up to me and asked me what the names on the orders were. I gave it to them. He went back into the kitchen and never came back. 15 minutes later he ends up walking by me, I said ā excuse me, did they give you an update on my order?ā he said ānot yetā. He was the least helpful one.
After that, I was sitting at the bar waiting for my food to come out and the bar waitress hands a menu to another customer and when that customer opens up the menu, we all see a cockroach run across the bar. She killed it and told the customer that she wouldāve walked out if it was her.
5 minutes after that interaction the manager comes up to me and asked me what I need help with, I told her that I was waiting for an order that I had ordered 40 minutes ago at this point. I gave her our names and she knew exactly what we ordered and told me that it had been ready the whole time!!!
I told her to just cancel my order, cause itās taking too long and I saw a roach run across the bar! She told me she understood, and I left. She told me she would take care of cancelling our orders, but she didnāt do it in front of us.
We have had this issue with this LOCATION almost every time we come here. The service is the absolute worst....

We get there and there is a 45min wait, which is kind of normal for a Friday evening, but after waiting for a while I walked inside to the bathroom and noticed several bigger tables empty which is weird since the wait was so long! Next up was 6 of was finally getting a table which turns out to be the kiddy table for adults I guess. It was so small by time you had drinks and bread and 1 appetizer there wasn't room for anything else. And speaking of drinks my blue moon was on the flat side and no orange to squeeze in it as it is my favorite part of that particular beer. Next up was the mean, rude, nasty attitude server! This what really set me off for the whole dinner. We had to ask for silverware, refills, bread(all the tables close by got bread) and he was missing in action most of the visit. I get it if your having a bad day but we didn't even do anything to him for him to have an attitude like what we experienced! It took forever to get the food by now this is going on a 2hr meal ordeal...Well low and behold my shirmp were cold, my steak was cold and over cooked, my broccoli was real cold. There wasn'teven any pepper in the pepper grinder on the table for my baked potato.. I've about had it after this... AFTER I get the food and realized this isn't my night. So after only eating a few tonion pedals and a piece of bread, I asked for a to go box for all my food and the waitress(another server) brings back the smallest container in the building for my whole to go order. Now I'm ready to blow a fuse and a gasket. This was the worst birthday celebration for my deceased twin grand babies I've ever had! My daughter food was cold also, she didn't get her broccoli... it was a mess! Oh yeah and here comes my sautéed onions long after my food arrived cold...Newport News LONG HORN WAS A MESS, THE SERVER, THE COOK, THE HOSTESS, ALL A MESS. THIS EXPERIENCE WAS SO BAD I SAT THERE THINKING ABOUT OPENING A STEAK HOUSE JUST TO COMPETE WITH THEM. WHICH WOULDN'T BE HARD TO DO...
