Kimmy's Cafe — Restaurant in Port Arthur

Great food, excellent service, really nice atmosphere...everything about Kimmy's is top notch. I love the open kitchen where you can see the hard working kitchen staff prepare one delicious meal after another. Best breakfast in town, imho, and their coffee and pancakes (plate size) can't be beat...

Called to place an order this morning to be picked up, and the lady started out being nice, when i went to pay over the phone i had some card issues and decided to call back. Upon the callback order, as i stated what i wanted the lady on the phone didn’t say anything to me but said to a coworker “yeah it’s the one from earlier” and i told her if she’s going to talk about their customers she needs to at least mute the phone. I also ordered the same thing both times and i was told two different prices. I wasn’t the nicest due to the attitudes presented and comments made, but the professionalism needs to be worked on, it’s pathetic for the workers to be talking about the customers while they’re on the phone with them. There’s a time and place for that. Management needs to get a hold on it. Whenever i went in to get the food, i got nothing but judge mental looks from everyone there but one lady who was nice enough to see if i’d been helped. Yes i had an attitude over the phone with them, but they way that they spoke to me and treated me is what got them that. I brought my husband the food, and there was an item that the lady over the phone asked three times if i wanted and i said yes missing. I don’t understand why we pay almost $20 for birria tacos and can’t even get the dipping...

The food was delicious and the atmosphere is awesome. The homemade flower tortillas was a disappointment. It honestly didn’t tasted like homemade more like a store bought. The eggs, hash brown, bacon, sausage and ham was good. The reason for a 2 star is because I was charged full price for a meal that wasn’t completely given. I ordered a classic combo and upgraded to French Toast for an extra charge, instead of getting the pancakes that came with the meal. I didn’t receive the french toast nor the pancakes. When it came time to pay I was getting charged for it and had ask them to please remove the upgrade charge, since I didn’t receive the french toast. I had to wait for a manager to come the restaurant to remove it since the manager was the only person that was able to remove the extra charge and they weren’t there at the time. I figure they would have at least discounted the meal since I didn’t get the full meal, but that wasn’t the case. Don’t get me wrong the food was good and I don’t mind pay for it. The 2 classic combo with upgrade and 2 coffee was close to $50. Plus tip. Yes, I tip even though I didn’t received everything. We’re human and make mistakes. Will I go back? Probably not. I don’t like getting charge for things I...
