Waffle House — Restaurant in Port Arthur

Waffle House has been one of my favorites places to eat, BUT NOT TODAY! We went to the one on Jimmy Johnson in Port Arthur where we were not even greeted by the usual Hello! Welcome to Waffle House! We spotted two empty tables so we headed towards them but they both had dirty dishes on them. There was a lady cleaning the counter so we nicely asked her if she could clean one of the tables. To our surprise she said NO and told us to sit on the counter instead. I told her we wanted the table because I have back problems and she just ignored us. She finished cleaning the counter and a customer walks in. He politely asked us if we were going to sit there first but we said we were waiting on one of the tables and thanked him for his kindness. Since the lady never cleaned our table i asked her again to clean it for us and completely ignoring us again starts putting the menus on the counter. She grabs a napkin, the utensils and starts helping out the customer and starts taking his order. I asked her for the third time what happened to our table and she says: "I have to refill everything there so seat on the counter" my husband at this point wants to leave but I was like whyyyy? I asked to talk to a manager and explained everything to him so she starts arguing with me saying that I never said anything! Unbelievable! I was like what? The manager told her to never argure with the customer and she gave this ugly look. I couldn't believe it! She was so rude! My husband was so mad we had to leave. This is not the first time we have issues with this particular Waffle House and that's why were posting this comment. Sometimes this place is very dirty, people are rude, and sometimes they completly ignore you. Hiring people that really want to work would make a big difference because it seems some of these...

To today was very disappointed at the waffle House Port Arthur Texas on Jimmy Johnson boulevard. Due to the water issues in Port Arthur that was unable to serve people in the inside. But in order to get a to-go order you have to pay a 20% gratuity. Waffle House is known for their customer service but this was customer service at is worse today they will not waive the fee and the attitude was very disrespectful no empathy or understand rude and disgraceful in a workplace I frequent this place over the last 25 years and never experienced this but today is will be my last time ever eaten at the waffle House in Port Arthur Texas on Jimmy Johnson boulevard. Boycott this business until they do right by their customers by taking away the 20% gratuity on to go orders I'm pretty sure that it is a lot of people who did not realize that they were being charged 20% so I feel like they're robbing you without a gun. For the restaurant business this is dishonesty...

Must say jimmy Johnson Waffle House was clean. My amigo came last Sunday before noon. The African slim lady was organized with her clip board standing by the door with a lovely smile. I notice while I was waiting there was this obesity African dark girl waitress who just wasn’t attractive the waitress look like precious from the movie 😂 with some torn family dollar shoes where her big feet hanging out showing crust which is disgusting 🤮 to see. Every time I looked up all my amigos could see was her big butt eating sitting down about six times while customers wanted to sit down. Than she yells at the lady with the clip board “ just leave it dirty” in a rude not professional tone smh, while the lady was only trying to do her job the poor slim lady was trying to move dishes to the end of table to wipe the seats, menu...
