We were out on a charter all day and were waiting for our fish to be cleaned so we thought we would try this place as it was convenient and looked nice. Boy were we wrong! We were seated at one of the tables that had pretty much full sun, even with the umbrellas, which would have been fine if we had had better service and didn't have to sit there for two hours. We waited 15 minutes to even be acknowledged and even then the waitress just comes over and says "oh...no menus" and disappears for another 10 minutes. Comes back with menus, drops them off and leaves again without taking a drink order. Comes back after another 10 minutes to finally get the drink order. Takes 15 more minutes to get the drinks and another 10 for her to come back and get the orders. By this point, we should have had several drink refills, but we only had one and we had to flag her down to get it....as was with the second refill...in the 2 hours (yes..I said 2 hours, in the hot, hot sun) we were there she never once asked if we needed refills....we were asking her for them. We watched people that were seated at the same time as us eat and leave and we still didn't even have our food. She heard me comment about this and proceeds to confront me about it telling me that a "2 topper" table is easier to take care of than a "7 topper" table...ummmm..OK...so you are telling me that two people are more important than 7?? Do you realize that you could have earned a very hefty tip off a 7 person table?? We finally get our food after sitting there for an hour and a half and it was OK...definitely not worth the price we paid we paid for it or the wait. The attitude from the waitress was the worse I have ever experienced in a restaurant and for that simple reason....I will never go back there. Edit...I would also like to add that this waitress did not know the menu at all. She was asked a couple of very simple questions...like what kind of salad dressings do you have and she couldn't even answer that. Waiter 101 is...
Read moreStopped in for the first time on 5/26/2018 around 1pm. We were seated quickly, and drinks were brought out very fast. I looked at the entire menu and decided on the 1/2 lb burger with fries. I will say it was good and properly cooked, but not $13.95 good. The fries were good and properly cooked, but the amount was disappointing. My wife got the fettuccini alfredo, which she said was ok. We thought about desert, but $8 for a piece was too much. The waitress was very polite and attentive. Other customers were enjoying the view and having a good time eating and drinking.
Now the next event that transpired was totally out of their control, a torrential downpour that lasted approximately 30 minutes. People were flocking in to seek shelter, so business picked up (good for them). Unfortunately, the sewer system could not keep up with this amount of rainfall and the restaurant flooded (it was mentioned by employees that this is a regular occurance). This forced them to shut down. My waitress was very apologetic and embarrassed. We were sympathetic.
As I was finishing my beer, another older woman (who did not identify herself, but I assume was an employee) rudely told me I needed to finish my beer and "get out". I politely asked for my check, she snapped back with "I don't know who your waitress is, so how can I get your check?". There was 3 waitress and 1 bartender, plus doesn't most places number or identify the tables? We decided to flag our waitress down on our own. This unidentified lady left a bad impression on me..........
So the reasoning behind my rating: high prices for the food, one rude and unpleasant presumptive employee. I'm looking past the flooding, although I feel they should have addressed and invested in some controls a...
Read moreStopped in for lunch. We were seated - chairs were very uncomfortable. Had to request an umbrella (hot sun). Ordered drinks, ordered a salad and a burger. Asked to have the burger cooked medium rare - waitress said we only do pink and well. Asked for pink. Asked to have the burger cut in half so my wife and I could share - no we can't cut your burger in half. Asked to see the manager - manager said that he was told by me that his restaurant could cut the burger in half. With a sharp attitude, he offered to bring me a knife and said I could cut it my self. Food arrived in about 30 minutes. The burger looked good, but was well done and greasy. The salad was pitiful - the smallest $15 salad I have ever seen. 1 little slice of hot house tomato (in July?) and out of the box croutons. She asked if there was anything else she could get us - we needed silverware (none had been provided) so I asked for it. After 10 minutes, my wife got up from the table and tracked someone down so we could start to eat our meal. So in the end, we had attitude, uncomfortable chairs, well done burger when we wanted pink, the tiniest $15 salad and had to track someone down to get silverware. Total price (with $5 tip) - almost $50. We...
