Tom Manis Restaurant — Restaurant in Port Huron

So, I've lived here 3.5 years and hv been past this place a million times.... always on the way somewhere else. So today, I had an early appt with a break b4 a l8r appt. Manis to the rescue! It was busy, but things were moving smoothly. I ordered the 2 brekkie, with 2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 bacon rashers and added a side of biscuit gravy. I get my eggs basted, and these were perfect. Everything was really good, especially the gravy, but let's talk about #MagicMolly, now! I realized pretty quickly she was holding down the fort alone. Last count, there were 14 customers. ON HER BIRTHDAY, this gal singlehandedly, wrote, poured and delivered without a grimace- she was a champ. Someone didn't show up and she was waiting on another someone to come in at 11- after all, it IS #TacoTuesday!! I did go up one to get a coffee refill- why not? I've got legs! #RAOK go a loooong way in situations like this. I've NEVER waitressed- I do NOT hv the patience and I'm not a foodie, but having spent 40 years as a SpEd Tchr-Cnsltnt, I def know what it's like to be bombarded with tasks. Sombrero and serapes off to Molly today! You are a gem and handled this so very well. I'll be back. Thank you! (I did get a quick HBD2U jingle in and encouraged a few patrons to dig deep....

The staff was friendly and pleasant. The service was immpecable. The Southern Omelette is delicious. The sausage gravy has a lot of mentions and I'm glad I broke from my diet to have it. It lived up to the hype. My love stuck to our diet and had the veggie omelette. It is fresh and tasty, and the potatoes are so good she almost licked the plate. I stopped her at the last minute. The prices are a blast from the past. Meaning pre- pandemic prices where our meals with beverages cost less than a $20. If you are a local or just passing through you can't do better breakfast than this restaurant and you should support this gem of a small business. Notice we didn't leave anything on our plates...

WOW!... So I found an off the beaten path, a small diner/restaurant that ABSOLUTELY COOKED an AMAZING BRKFST for me and yet I was just like any other patron visiting THIS place. And I'm So glad i stopped in for a New place and New Review.!. For those of you who live here and Not have had the luxury of trying this little spot out.?.. I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THAT YOU AT LEAST COME AND TRY IT OUT... (MCKENZIE) WAS OUR WAITRESS, AND SHE WAS REALLY AWESOME.. FRIENDLY and COURTEOUS...
