Burger King — Restaurant in Port Orchard

I feel compelled to share my incredibly disappointing experience at Burger King #16837 off of Sedgwick, which was nothing short of a nightmare that fell woefully short of even the most basic fast-food expectations. What transpired during my visit was a clear demonstration of poor service that not only frustrated me but also left me questioning the establishment's commitment to customer satisfaction.

First and foremost, the quality of service I received was dismal at best. It seemed as though the staff operated in a fog of indifference, and it was painfully obvious that they had little regard for the customers who walked through their doors. The assistant manager, who goes by the name Sierra (if that is indeed her real name), appeared to have been promoted more for her ability to recite scripted responses rather than for any genuine understanding of customer service or leadership. Her demeanor was less than professional, and her lack of urgency was baffling, particularly for someone in a managerial position.

To add insult to injury, I found myself waiting a staggering 20 minutes for chicken nuggets—an item that should typically take no more than three minutes to prepare. This excessive wait time was not only frustrating but utterly unacceptable. When I finally approached Sierra to inquire about the delay, I was met with a sarcastic remark: “What can I do to make you satisfied?” This condescending response was not only disappointing but downright disrespectful. It is hard to fathom how someone in her position could be so dismissive of a customer's genuine frustration, especially when it’s her job to ensure that the service provided is both timely and courteous.

I cannot help but feel a deep sense of sympathy for the employees who work under her supervision, as it is clear that her leadership skills are severely lacking. Rather than fostering an environment of teamwork and respect, she seems to perpetuate a culture of apathy. It is concerning to think that those who look to her for guidance may be equally misguided, lacking any real mentorship or support.

In conclusion, my experience at BK was nothing short of a disaster. The combination of poor service, a lack of professionalism, and a noticeable absence of genuine leadership left me feeling undervalued as a customer. This encounter has certainly deterred me from returning in the future, and I sincerely hope that management takes a closer look at the operations under Sierra's watch. The level of disdain I feel for the service I received should not go unnoticed by future customers for that will most certainly lead to a similar unfortunate experience.

Well. The food is, you know fast food. I got some snackish foods, because I honestly don't like their their burgers. The smoke seasoning that is added bothers my stomach and always tries to come visit the wrong way up the pipes if you catch my drift. Yup triggers my acid reflux. If you like their burgers good on you, this isn't meant to be an attack on them nor you. I just can't. But if you can and enjoy it, please do 😉

So when I go pick up snackish food from the drive-thru at Burger King, it is usually nuggies, mozzy sticks, jalapeño bites and fries. These all satisfy the snacky urges of myself and the teenaged eating machine...

But the mozzy sticks really could use some help. This time they were actually fresh and so the cheese had some pull to them. But only some. I prefer the mozzarella sticks that have lots of stringy gooeyness when you pull them apart.

It was about 7pm when I went through and they were only moderately slowed down. So not the full dinner-rush time. The reader board was off so I had to use my memory to order. Good thing the dementia shouldn't be setting in yet although sometimes I...oh yeah, so, I didn't ask them why the board was malfunctioning, I just ordered my snackish items. But if I had wanted to try something new... I have weird social anxieties and don't like to ask about menu items in that type of situation. I heard the order taker explain to the car behind me that their menu prices on the boards didn't reflect the prices on the registers and that's why they had them turned off. 😐

I am partial to other sauces, but I got the Buffalo sauce for the man-boy waiting at home. I am very particular concerning ranch dressing, sweet and sour, and honey mustard. So you guessed it, not my cup of tea from Burger King either. But the service was fast-ish, the food was all freshly fresh, and the employees were friendly enough. I go maybe once every couple of weeks to this or another fast-snack distributor. And for the last several visits I remember to this place, no missing items! Yay for their organization...
