We've been wanting to go here for a long time. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Hands down the worse sushi restaurant I've ever been to. We went for dinner and they only have 5 small tables and two seats in front of the sushi bar. Only 3 tables were taken, we were at the fourth. Service was terrible. The young lady spilled drinks all over me which I know happens and understand, but instead of immediately moving us to the other open table she starts to clean the table and floor while I'm soaking wet. I finally tell her that I'm moving to the other table and just got up and did so to get out of my wet seat. Instead of immediately getting us drinks she starts to serve other tables and makes us wait even more. She took away my salad that had water spilled in it and was supposed to give me a fresh one. Instead, I was given the exact same back which was watered down and had little to no ginger in it, completely tasteless. We finally get our waters and she gives us cups for sauce which never got filled until I asked for it. We were never asked for refills on anything. Mind you, there are only 3 other tables with people at them besides us, that's it. Nobody went out of their way to be friendly and the food was by far the worst I've ever had. I ordered the Volcano and they put a watered down mushy substance and covered every piece of sushi on my plate. If there was crab in it you couldn't tell, it was was just plain gross to eat. The parts of the food that you could taste were very fishy and cheap. It only took us about 15-20 minutes to try to eat what they gave us and then I had to get up and ask for the check. We couldnt get out of there fast enough. The gentleman making the sushi never looked around to greet people and it was very obvious that the food was low grade. So to sum it up... 4 small tables had people at them including us, took us only about 20 minutes to try and eat the mystery food and we left almost 2 hours later. When I got home I was really sick to my stomach. It was by far one of the worst experiences in every sense of the word that I've ever had. It did not have one redeeming value. Save your money and go...
Read moreItâs very unfortunate I have to write this review, as itâs not in my nature, but unfortunately the experience my girlfriend and I had tonight leaves me no choice. We have been loyal and happy customers at Sushi Goma for years. We order the same thing everytime and always leave with a postive experience. Unfortunately, tonight our sushi came out less than fresh. We saw the sushi chef using crabmeat out of a can which should have been our first red flag. After one bite both of us could tell there was something wrong with the quality of the fish. We could smell an obvious odor coming off the fish and immediately our appetites were ruined. We asked if we could order something else and the staff made no effort to apologize or fix our meal. They just responded with âummâ. We asked for our checks and mentioned to the chef that we were loyal customers and didnât think it was right to pay for our meal that wasnât made with fresh ingredients and was literally nauseating. He did not agree, and required us to pay for the uneaten meal with no effort to repair the situation. Iâm very sad to say I will no longer be a customer here, especially when they so desperately need...
Read moreOne of the best sushi restaurants I've ever found. It's not a chain and it's not fancy or glitzy, but the Japanese gentleman who owns it and prepares the sushi knows what customers want and delivers consistently: fresh fish, generous portions priced fairly, in fact inexpensive compared to others. His selection is also impressive with Uni, Jelly fish, giant clam and all the popular ones that people love. They had fresh northern salmon the night I was there which I had Sashimi style and rather than the paper thin small slices so many places serve he served 2 slices about 2" x 4" and over 1/2" thick and it was melt in my mouth delicious. In addition to sushi they have a menu offering a good selection of cooked dishes as well. I was so thrilled with the sushi I didn't sample any, but I must assume they are extraordinary. Goma's is open M-S located on Port St Lucie Blvd between t-mobile and chop stix. If you live close and like sushi you must treat your self to world class sushi. If you are not near by, go anyway it is worth your drive. I've eaten sushi all over the world and this place is the best I can...
