Dined here on 8/6/23 with the beautiful Fiancée. We had the large trio fajita shared between the both of us which honestly was enough for 3 to 4 people but I'll touch more on that in a bit. As an appetizer we had the chips with queso blanco. The chips were average for a Mexican restaurant and the queso is a creamy melted mozzarella style queso lightly chunked very mild. The salsa that also came with the chips however does have a much stronger kick full of flavor. The large fajita is one of the largest in the area you can find at a Mexican restaurant. I must tip my hat at this dish and the kitchen because it's very rare to be served a fajita that includes tender steak and juicy chicken. Everything on this dish was full of flavor and served very hot and fresh. If you plan on ordering a fajita and not a frequent flyer of these, be sure to order your steak rare because it'll continue to cook on the skillet to a medium rare by the time the sizzling ends. The service was average however can't really say much more about it considering this restaurant was slammed packed when we visited so the service staff was under pressure but handled quite nicely. The atmosphere is average for a Mexican restaurant with Hispanic music playing in the background. Although I must say the seating arrangements were a bit crammed which hints at the need for a larger location for them in the future. They also had kid friendly shows and movies playing on some of the TV's which I must admit brought the inner child out in me on occasion. To sum this up this is at the moment our go to restaurant when the lady of the house is craving Mexican. The service staff is super friendly and the food is amazing. Definitely highly recommended for those Mexican cravings and...
Read moreVery good! I was driving up to Orlando and craving Mexican food. I didn’t want to stop at a service station and eat fast food. We found this place on Waze. The sign said Grand opening, so I guess it’s kind of new. I loved all of the authentic Mexican decor, furniture, paintings, etc. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Service is 5 stars! We ordered a side of guacamole to go with the basket of chips and salsa they bring out. The salsa and guacamole were perfect! I got the vegetable enchiladas and a mojito. I returned the mojito because it was really sweet. I don’t know if they added too much simple syrup or what, but I never drink sodas and it tasted like a 7-Up. I couldn’t drink it. The enchiladas were good- not great. I love that they had all kinds of vegetables in them. Onions, peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, mushrooms… the problem was that they were not well cooked. They were all very raw. I like my vegetables well done. The refried beans were also kind of bland. For that reason I give them 4 stars. My daughter got the 2 puffy shrimp tacos. They were a good size. They were very good. She ate every bite. I had filled up on chips, salsa and guacamole so I had a lot of leftovers. I only ate one of the 4 enchiladas. The bill was a total of $40 after they took the $10 mojito off. I gave a nice tip since the wait staff really was wonderful! I would go back, but I would ask for the vegetables well done, or...
Read moreFirst time here and was excited to find a new Mexican restaurant in the area. As of 7-22-22 there's still no alcohol but they said the liquor license should be approved any day now so get ready for some margaritas. They bring fresh chips and salsa to the table as soon as you sit. The chips were nice and warm and the salsa was homemade. I do wish the salsa serving dish was a little larger as the ratio of chip to salsa was way off, we ran out of salsa way before chips but they remedied this by bringing more without us even asking. We ordered the queso dip with chorizo to accompany our salsa fiesta and it was very, very good.
For the main course we had the birria tacos and the carne asada. The tacos were fantastic with the dipping sauce and the rice and refried beans were a tasty side. The carne asada wasn't the best I ever had but it was good and it was served with rice, beans, tortillas, guacamole, two cheese filled tortillas, and salsa. A pretty large meal.
My one grip with the place was that it was pretty hot inside. We often look forward to our air conditioned safe havens in these blazing Florida summers but this place didn't offer that cool relinquishment.
I don't just throw 5 star reviews around unless I'm blown away and this place is teetering on the edge of a 4-4.5 star as it was so close to being great! We will be back to try the molcajete...
