Greg, this message is for you. A little help in training your staff so your location can offer better service. I will also follow up with corporate regarding your negligence in your position. I called today ordered a smoothie and wrap. I order from tropical smoothie franchise all the time various locations. Todays call was a little strange, the person who answered the call did not inform me the location I was calling, I proceeded to order my food thinking I was calling the location I frequent most often When I was finished ordering the woman asked if I would be ok paying over the phone because people have called in food in past and not shown up, fair enough, so I paid. Again, she did not tell me in the event of any reason there is no refund even if I am unable to pick up the 12$ order and/or confirm I was aware of the specific location I was calling. This is about principle so it doesnt happen to others. I called back 3-5 mins later and explained to the woman I am very sorry I called the wrong location, would you please refund me and I will be more conscious in future and it was honest mistake. The woman put me on hold, went and asked her manager how to proceed and he instructed her I MUST come pick up my food and I will not be able to get a refund, even though I said I will not be able to come to that location its out of my area. I asked to speak to a manager, where she told me he was on the phone, I said I would wait and asked for his name, she responded his name is Greg, I asked for a last initial which she said she could not provide because she was still fairly new. I said that is ok I will continue to call back throughout the day until he is available to assist and do his job as a manager and assist the customer. Greg has not returned any calls. I have been hung up on and pranked on my attempts to reach Greg from tropical smoothie staff when they answered my phone. I will escalate this to corporate and I hope my 12$ meal was worth it. Ive worked in restaurants as a server, as a bartender and I have never heard a situation where they cannot/will not add this to their spill chart, or offer some sort of assistance or suggestion/solution on how the customer and the business can both benefit from this simple mistake. Read moreI've frequently visited the Tropical Smoothie Cafe at 10628 SW Village Pkwy in Port St. Lucie. I love the Bahama mama Smoothie however, there are some serious sanitation issues. I am required to wear a face mask which I don't mind...but there is one employee who refuses to wear one... I've witnessed this same employee sweep with no gloves, come take my order, exchange money, then go prepare smoothies and food... No gloves, no mask, not even washing of hands... while other employees have gloves and mask on. There is no accountability. Is there a manager in the store? A person can believe what he or she wants but when that belief jeopardizes other people's health, that belief system can morph into irreversible harm. This behavior is unacceptable. It is very disrespectful, unprofessional and inappropriate with a pandemic on going, and this employee must be held culpable. I was picking up an order with a company TS is partnered with and what could have been quickly and easily taken care of ended up somehow complicated and minutes on end. The smoothies were missing, got that taken care of rather quickly, but the 2 different smoothies looked the same yet not marked so I had to ask the girl again in the front but she chose to ignore me and keep accepting walk in orders (3 while I was asking) and just looked at me like ignoring the issue is going to make things go away. Asked another about which drink is what, then that girl said "ask her" pointing to the same one that chose to ignore me. I replied she has not been responding to me, so another young guy, offered his time who seemed to actually be working and problem solve and identified the drinks, and marked them.
