My son and bride were married this past weekend in Port St. Lucie at the Crane Club. Our family of 40 guests in 23 rooms total stayed at the Courtyard Port St. Lucie Traditions. The hotel does not block space for weddings, but they do honor a wedding discount. The hotel is new, clean and staff friendly and very professional. It has a pool, outdoor lounge area with fire pits, lobby bistro/quiet bar area. We wanted to hold a brunch the morning after the wedding for family staying at the hotel. The hotel, being new, had never set up a brunch, but Ms. Martine, our hotel coordinator, was willing to try. She worked closely with me to confirm rooms and brunch and made sure every detail was taken care of. It could not have gone better. Last minute changes were handled professionally and with kindness. We had 40 guests attend the brunch and it turned out fantastic! Food set up was beautiful, plentiful and delicious. What made the brunch run so smoothly was our server and breakfast staff. Ms. April, the lead server, made sure every detail was taken care of. Her attitude was 5 star professional, friendly and she could not tried harder to please our family. From the time I began planning our group visit to this hotel a year ago until checkout on Sunday, myself and family and friends truly enjoyed our stay. Every question and concern we had was answered and addressed quickly. Thank you Martine, Tanya, Cathy, Alex, the breakfast crew including chef and staff at the hotel. You are a 5star team. I would highly recommend this hotel for a group or individual stay. Thank you Courtyard by Marriott Port St. Lucie Traditions for making this special weekend stay such a success- and an event all who attended will remember...
Read more(Ambassador Elite with Marriott - Business Trip) This is one of the nicer Courtyard properties I’ve stayed at. Very clean and welcoming. The rooms are as expected of the updated Courtyard interior that has been implemented the last few years. Walk-in shower is spacious. TV with standard cable as well as ability to access Netflix and Amazon Prime if you have your own account. I had a view of the parking lot from my room though the other side of the hall seems to face a nice river/lake.
I was disappointed to learn from the front desk staff member that complimentary water is not provided to elite members on arrival. This is usually standard with Courtyard properties and a small but nice gesture from Marriott’s mid-tier brands. I was offered a bottle for $3 which I graciously declined.
This property has a surprisingly large and inviting gym. Plenty of machines. Free weights up to 50lbs. Water fountain for bottles appeared high tech but drips at a painstakingly slow rate. Surprisingly, there is a Peloton Bike in the gym (very rare for a Courtyard!). Unfortunately, it was not activated so there is no way to access the perks of this equipment. I inquired with the front desk staff who were uncertain how to assist further.
The staff I interacted with were not overly proactive with issues presented and not willing to follow up on a possible resolution. Hopefully this will improve.
The property is across the street from the local Cleveland Clinic Hospital and directly next door/walkable to bar restaurant and Popstroke. There are multiple food options in the area though lacking diversity of choice. Clearly the area is still developing but very...
Read moreWe are moving to the Port St. Lucie area so we stayed two nights while house hunting. The hotel was nice, reception staff friendly and the room was nice. The issue was with housekeeping practices. We checked in at night and after the long drive my husband and I took showers, and went to sleep. The next morning we left around 9:30 and didn’t return until 4:30pm. We walked onto our room and found it had not been cleaned. We had trash in the waste baskets, the used towels and washcloths were still on the floor in the bathroom ( per instructions if you want clean towel leave them on the floor) and the beds were unmade. We went down to the front desks we were informed that they only provided housekeeping services every other day. This is not the type of service I expect from Marriott. I have been a gold elite member for years. I don’t reuse my towels after drying off, it is unsanitary. One of the things I love most about travel is that someone cleans my room and makes my bed, after all that is part of the service I pay for!! Even Marriott’s customers service agent agreed with me, cost keep rising while service is declining. Marriott needs to do better, there are lot of other hotels with much better service!! It makes me wonder, what other corners are they cutting for a bigger profit margin? If you stay there you might want check your sheets and smell...
