Brooklyn Water Bagel Tradition — Restaurant in Port Saint Lucie

BE CAREFUL and call this location BEFORE ordering or visiting. I say that because every time we visit the location, they are sold out on so many different flavors. Just today, I arrived around 10:30 AM (this is the second time this has happened) and when I attempted to order Egg Bagels and Sesame Seed Bagels I was told that they do NOT carry Egg and they only had 2 Sesame bagels left. Again, this was 10:30 AM and they don't close until 3PM. If a bagel shop is going to market themselves as a top class bagel store using the name Brooklyn in their trade name, you'd think that they would offer similar flavors that New York bagel stores carry or better yet have a Manager reassess their inventory needs and how many bagels they make early in the morning before 6AM. It's unacceptable that they were so limited (this is the second time) with their inventory of bagels in the morning when they don't close until 3PM (according to the website). I ended up leaving and going to Treasure Coast Bagel Bakery in Fort Pierce (yes I know it’s bit of a drive) but they had much more inventory and EGG BAGELS!!! If I were to offer advice to this company, it would be to visit other bagel shops in the area and look at their inventory that they sell and at least carry some of their flavors. Even Bagel Brothers of New York (around the corner from Brooklyn Bagels) has a much larger inventory AND they have plenty of Egg and Sesame Bagels. Was very excited to try this location as I love all of the other locations. However I will NEVER We’re going back here again as my experience was the worst I’ve ever had. Walked up to the counter to order the girl that was taking the orders look like she had no idea she was even on planet earth. We got two coffees and a jersey boy. This location does not have the cops upfront so she took our cups and started filling up coffee without even asking us what kind we wanted. When she handed us back our coffee, we went over to get the creamers. They were out of all flavored creamers, except for almond milk, milk, and skim when I went up to her and asked her she said I don’t know what to tell you. okay cool, we put milk and sugar in our coffees and it was horrible the milk was lumpy and the coffee tasted like it was DAYS old. There was a lady and husband standing next to us who were saying they will never be back as they were having similar issues with service staff and quality. I walked up to the counter and told the girl I wanted a refund for our coffees as they were disgusting, she proceeds to roll her eyes and call another girl over, I asked how long they had been open she said 6months I said wow that is very embarrassing I would like my money back. She did refund me for the whole transaction but I was still very disappointed as I love Brooklyn water bagel but now I know this location is just terrible it’s self. I just picked up two bagel sandwiches & I highly suggest you start using Boars Head cold cuts. Being a “Bagel Boy” from Brooklyn when bagels were 12 cent each ; there’s nothing better than a Boars Head sandwich on a bagel. As far as the bagels themselves, I will have to try again with cream cheese & see how that goes. I can attest that these are hand made but on the smaller size. I would also suggest making them a little larger if you’re using “Brooklyn” in the name. Best of luck!
