Came in a few days ago mid day (not late at night) and the server was rude with a “locals only - tourists go away” attitude when we walked in. Don’t make the mistake of accidentally bringing your children in. Apparently everyone is supposed to do extensive research online regarding their kid policy before entering. Not sure if this policy is outside of this establishment’s control or not legally, however, this review is not about their policy but their customer service. It’s about how we were talked to. Clear signage on the door or in their Google listing (suggestion to be direct: “sorry, we are NOT Family Friendly but, despite potential liability and health and safety concerns we are Dog Friendly) and more professional communication from the bartender seems like a base level expectation of a locally-owned small business with good customer service. Suggest this place creates taking points and training for their staff on how to navigate these conversations in a professional way focused on providing good customer service instead of having people walk away feeling humiliated and chastised. After looking at other 1-2 star reviews for this place, it’s evident we are not alone in...
Read moreWeird place - inconsistent rules
I come in with my wife and baby and was told I can't bring the child in but that I could buy bottles to go if I wanted. Decided to go down the street to a different brewery to get a beer to drink before I bought any bottles. Came back 20min later to buy some bottles, new girl up front says we can't even have the baby on the property. I can see the girl who we originally spoke with and she's now serving drinks and I explain that she said we could buy beer to go and new girl refuses to honor that. I can see the girl in the background listening in on the conversation and never speaks up about it and new lady gets rude after saying , and this is a direct quote, "well I don't know. I've never heard that" so how an "I don't know" and the other person saying "it's ok" equals sending us on our way without anything I don't know but I do know if you want inconsistencies and stuck up service about small things then its the place to go. No one was making it a deal but her. Even the red head next to her was nodding her hear as I was explaining signaling that it was ok. I just...
Read moreMy aunt LOVES this place! It's a fun little joint that's popular with a more mature crowd, to the point where the bartender chuckled when she carded me and admitted they didn't get a lot of patrons under 40. Dog-friendly and a place you can bring your card and board games, with lots of neat beers and ciders on tap and in cans/bottles. They also have a lot of non-alcoholic beverages! I'm not so into non-alcoholic beer, but I tried the hop water (a sparkling, hop-infused water) and it was exactly how the bartender described it: refreshing! If you don't drink or are the designated driver for the night and want something light and beery, give it a try. Our bartender was great and well-informed, and they'll give you a sip of their beers and ciders on tap to help decide what to get, with a variety of sizes. There's also outdoor seating, couches, bar seating and high tables, and a clean restroom with weekly-refreshed comics. Very laid back! We didn't try any of the snacks, but apparently you can even bring in...
