I was excited to visit this brewery, but I’ve got a little disappointed. I asked if bartender can suggest something to try: either something unique or the most popular. When bartender couldn’t offer anything in any of these categories, I asked which beer is his favorite and didn’t get the answer to it either. He overall told me which ones are light, dark, stronger in taste, but it is not what I was asking for. He gave me to try two different kinds per my request. I ended up taking one of them because I felt that I won’t get any better help. Place wasn’t busy at all. So it was overall ok, but I definitely had better experience and beer in other breweries...
Read moreIf you truly enjoy beer, in particular farmhouse styles like saisons, then this brewery is for you. We are lucky to have such an exceptional GABF gold-medal winning brewery on the Peninsula. They make some of the best beers in the world for the styles they choose. However, if you want hoppy beers like IPAs or your traditional microbrew beer (ambers, pale ales, IPA's, etc.) you will not find that here. But, if you enjoy the spectrum of great beer that is available in this world then this is an excellent stop. The owners are excellent humans who are enjoyable to chat with. Great place to drink...
Read moreI found these wonderful folks while exploring the Ballard Farmer's Market for the first time, so glad I did. Only tried one brew so far, the Beltane. A Saison-Brett that's delightfully colorful, fresh and easy going. The elderflower is delicately noticeable and I have no doubt their other brews are equally exquisite. The rep at the market was obviously knowledgeable and I find it remarkably refreshing to find a brew ofer not so focused on the hops as but just creating a quality line brews that will entice anyone. Definitely worth a try especially if you're in the mood for maybe something...
