We are on our Way to a baseball tournament in Savannah we have been driving for 3 1/2 hours and decided to stop at this location to get some supper. It was my husband, my 13-year-old son and myself. When we got to the back of the drive-through there were two employees smoking weed. We Smelled just like what they were smoking because our windows were down as we were ordering, even though I tried to keep rolling them back up. When we got to the window The manager, Crystal took our payment gave us our drinks, and told us to have a nice day, and slammed the window and walked away. This very nice lady who was working there open the window and gave us our food and apologized for her Manager’s behavior and let us know that her manager thought we were high because we smell like weed, I took great offense to this because I have a restaurant and besides that my husband is a judge, we do not smoke weed. We do not even drink alcohol. I wanted to take this to social media because it was so funny, just that my friends would laugh, because. But I wanna give y’all a chance to fix it. I hope you at least talk to Crystal and let her know that had she known where her team members were she would’ve known they were the ones smoking weed back there and that’s why her patrons were smelling like it and it’s very rude to slam the window in someone’s face for no reason. I actually had a team member from Wendy’s nationally recognized for defending his staff in Valdosta Georgia. It’s on LinkedIn and it went viral; all the people thanked me for that post. I hate to have to go back to them and tell them that had a bad experience I hope...
Read moreJust went through the drive thru ( at approx 10:45pm). First issue was that it took the worker a good 2 minutes to even acknowledge us... as if they were hoping we would think they were closing and leave (they were all sitting in the lobby when we pulled in). Second issue was that I had ordered a couple meal combos and some chicken nuggets. One of the meals had tea as the drink; the worker, in full view of the window, used a cup to scoop tea out of a container to pour in to the cup... not such a big deal given that at no time did his hand visibly touch the tea but seeing as he wasn't wearing gloves, and there is no telling when he last washed his hands, it was one of those things that made my boyfriend uneasy about drinking it. The third issue is that the fries were cold and stale. And the fourth issue was when we saw they had forgotten the bbq sauce, my bf started to walk up to the window and noticed an employee walking in. He told her of the issue, she told him to walk to the window and she would tell them to hand it out to him; when he did, he heard the woman who had taken our order say "what the f* does he want?". If the comment hadn't been made, I probably wouldn't have written a review, however, I don't accept being treated rudely when I have paid for whatever service and it was already mediocre (at best).
I have worked in the restaurant industry and know that when it is close to closing, that is all you focus on, but I also always believed that as long as you proverbial doors are open, you are there to provide your services, if you don't like working to close, don't! This was an...
Read moreSo its a Friday afternoon and just left our hotel, decided to stop in at Wendy’s before hitting the road. They have the self serve or order at the counter right?🤔 WRONG! So the self serve is debit card only no Apple Pay. And this is the answer I got when I walked up to the counter. Me: Hi I only have cash can I order her with you? Young girl that worked today: No I can’t take your order I’m to busy and I have to do this. I understand your busy, I understand that your young and maybe even ignorant. But whoever trained her or let her say that I’m dumb founded. Been in the service industry for 20 years. FOH/BOH and for someone in customer service to say I’m to busy for you is just WOW. Young girl at the counter, the right thing to say, please take notes and NEVER have that come out of your mouth again. And I’m telling you if I was your boss I would have fired you. Now the right thing to say is: good afternoon, I it would be a pleasure to take your order. Let me get someone to help you. One moment. Or of course, what can I get for you? You are never to busy or not able to help someone. And if your to busy with the 3 cars in drive thru and the 3 people standing in the lobby then just close the store. Don’t open. No customer service is better than BAD customer service. And I get it your unespirenced. And for your sack I hope you are in college and not in a friend that you have to work with people. Could you imagine walking into a ER room bleeding and someone says they...
