Big Dog Saloon — Restaurant in Portage

So we are traveling for work and found a local place to eat and have a beer via google and it was great! From the moment we walked in everyone was friendly...our bartenders Betsy and Katrina were very sweet and gave great food recommendations. The food was awesome y'all!! The people were friendly, the environment was laid back and chill, exactly what we were looking for after a long day of travel and work. We were traveling from the Fox Valley area to the Dells, and were in Portage when hunger struck. This "bar" was open on an late Wednesday morning and seemed to be one of few choices. What a great choice it was! The staff was friendly and accommodating, pushing some tables together so that my family could all sit together. The food came quickly, had great flavor and texture. The best part may have been the bill. We fed 2 adults and 3 teenagers for $35. We all agreed that it was so good that we stopped again on our way home. My husband and I were told this bar was a great place to have dinner and drinks. I will say we were not disappointed. Bar staff was very friendly, we never had to wait for a drink and the bar was well occupied. Food was good. I ordered a bacon blue cheese burger, yum! Bun was nice and soft but toasted on the inside. We ordered homemade potato chips one order spicy one one order parmesan. They were a little salty, between the two of them I preferred the Parmesan. Overall a great experience. The bartenders...
