This was our first time here. I've always wanted to try it, so today was the day. I called ahead to see how long the wait was, being a Sunday we knew it would be busy. t They allowed us to put our name in since it was a 25 minute wait when I called. We got there and was seated shortly after. Our waiter came and immediately asked "would you like juice?". That was kinda strange. I replied that we would like coffee. He informed us that there was no coffee. I honestly thought he was joking. It took a few times of bantering back and forth before I realized, no he was serious. A breakfast restaurant that doesn't have coffee? On a Sunday? It would have been nice if they would have told us that when I called, just to be courteous. They suggested we could get coffee from Biggby next door and bring it over. HA. WELL all we could hope for was that the food would be good. I ordered the Surf&Turf benedict. It was DELICIOUS. Apparently you can ordered two of the same or one and the other. I chose to get one of each. I have to say I preferred the steak benedict. The steak was cooked perfectly and the parmesan cheese sauce was out of this world. The crab cake was ok, but I just preferred the other one. My partner ordered french toast with eggs/bacon. The bacon is smoked, which we both agree is just too overwhelming on it's own, the taste takes over the rest of your food. Our waiter checked on us once, but never refilled our water until the end of our meal. He was nice enough and helpful, but being that it was busy, being rushed was noticeable. The place is small but surprisingly adequate on seating. I would recommend it if you've never been. I don't think it's one of my favorite places, but I wouldn't not go there ever again. I'd like to try it for lunch. I was surprised that we weren't offered anything for the fact that we wanted coffee and they didn't have any. Their coffee machine was broken. The manager/owner came to every table I thought that was a nice touch. But I do feel there should have been some sort of compensation for not having coffee, instead of offering that we could go...
Read moreFrom the service to the lack of quality of food served that day. You could definitely say that Tiffany's has had some sort of staff change, especially in the kitchen. We went out to eat last Saturday at Tiffany's for the first time in many years. I was extremely unimpressed. Tiffany's is usually my go-to for breakfast. I ordered the blackened shrimp and grits. I received a bowl of runny slop covered in grease. The grips were so runny that the shrimp was sinking halfway into the grits. There were no chives, no freshly chopped tomatoes on top. My eggs were served hard fried when I asked for them over easy. (Please keep in mind I've had the blackened grits multiple occasions at the West Main location. Never have I had a problem) This is where it gets really bad. I asked the young Lady our waitress to please see if they could have the cook fix the grits and correctly fry the egg. Instead she brought my plate back to me after I sent it away. And stated that the grits are made in the morning and there's nothing that the cook can do. Remaining is polite and calm as possible because clearly she's not waitressed for very long. Anyone knows or should know, once you send a plate back you do not return it to the customer. Our waitress stated that she would inform her manager to address the lack of quality in the grits. Here It gets juicy you just don't know who knows who. I know multiple individuals that work at the center st Tiffanys. Apparently it was never addressed or discussed. Neverless I will not waste my time or money at the Center Street Tiffany's again. West Main Street Tiffany's still has an excellent staff. Some have been there 9 years plus. I hope they are able to continue to keep them employed because they have treasures for employees there in the kitchen at Tiffany's...
Read moreIn town visiting a friend who suggested we go here for breakfast. Arrived later then we wanted and had to wait. No big deal there as with it being Sunday, expected it. Once seated, we placed our order. I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy. Waited for more then 30 mins then server comes and says they were out of gravy and was making more so it would only be a few minutes more. Waited another 15-20 and server comes back stating they were out of gravy and asks if there was anything else she could bring me to eat. I then ordered couple of eggs scrambled and hash browns. Within 10 minutes meals arrived. My eggs were burnt and the hash browns super greasy. Our friends order was cold and it appeared my father's order of chicken and waffle, the "bacon" gravy (or whatever it was) congealed in a disgusting dark brown clump on top of the waffle and needed to be cut with a knife and was super hard to chew and the chicken was cut into little bite size pieces which seems odd that it wasn't a solid piece of chicken as we have seen in other restaurants. He also said the waffle was also cold and hard to cut and chew. Our guess is two of the meals were ready and perhaps just sitting under a heat source long before we were first told about the gravy issue. We understand Sunday's are busy and it didn't help they were under staffed(something we heard numerous times from the head person as she walked around). Would have been nice of the head person come to our table and apologized for the long delay and misunderstanding of what they had and did not have. Not sure if we would try this restaurant again on another...
