Wendy's — Restaurant in Portage

Too bad I can't go below one Star. This place was dirty. Trash laying on the floor in the dinning room. Food LAYING on the floor behind the counter and employees walking right over it. The was a man that came they missed up his order he was being polite and said it can happen, they were very slow to fill his order and rude. And was making comments about him after he left. Took a few minutes for any one to come to the counter. The person that did was a saving grace very nice young man polite. Took our order. The lady that filled the oder must not be able to read cause. They got it all wrong, no lettuce and tomato mean that not fill it up and add onions and cheese. Food was at best luke warm. Wouldn't melt the cheese on the burgers. And the fries were cold. They wouldn't melt the cheese either. When ask the staff to heat this up so the cheese would melt. Was told they couldn't do that and wouldn't replace they. The manager wouldn't come from behind the cooker or didn't care. She spend more time laughing with the kids then her job. And after all this this it took over 10 mins just to get cold food. Go some where else. Close this place down. WHAT HAS HAPPENED WENDYS. DAVE IS ROLLING...

I’ve always liked Wendy’s, but my recent visit was a total disaster. The service was incredibly slow, despite there being hardly any customers in the restaurant. I had to wait over 20 minutes just to get my order, and when it finally came, it was wrong. I ordered a Baconator, but they gave me a regular cheeseburger instead. To make matters worse, the fries were cold and stale, and the soda tasted flat.

When I tried to get the staff’s attention to fix my order, they were unresponsive and seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than helping customers. After finally getting someone’s attention, they corrected the order but offered no apology for the inconvenience.

The restaurant itself was messy, with trash overflowing from the bins, and the tables hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The overall experience was so bad that I doubt I’ll be returning to this location anytime soon.

Wendy’s, you really need to step up your game. This was one of the worst fast-food experiences...

Got a large Frosty from here recently. I enjoyed the top quarter of it, then dropped off the rest of it to my wife at work. Later on, a few bites in, she notices an odd taste. When she dumps it in the trash, she discovers why: a wad of used chewing gum in the bottom of the cup.

I sent a notice to corporate telling them about the incident, but I never got a response. When I've had issues with other locations (seems to be once every 2-3 years), I hear back from the general manager. That tells me that this particular store doesn't care that they have disgusting people preparing food for the public. So I am not going to visit this location ever again.

There's another location a couple of miles north on Willowcreek just before Central. I've not visited that one yet, but if you really want Wendy's while in Portage, I strongly suggest going there instead. Better yet, Culver's is also a couple...
