Soooo wish I could give zero stars in order to write my constant issue with this place. Everyone knows mistakes happen, totally understandable when it's once or twice that it happens to you. But every single time I go there something is wrong or for example I wanted jalapenos with my nachos and cheese one day and we checked and they were there in the bag and all the supreme tacos were made as regular ones so we went back up there for the right ones and got all of them back supreme but two were made regular again and me and my boyfriend gave up at that point and just ate the two wrong one's. But I open my jalapeno cup and there's two small one's and one medium size one in the cup. The manager at the time told me I could come back for my 30 cents or whatever because she wasn't aware they were out of jalapenos and I had already placed my order. Why not tell me you're out of them and take them off my order rather than give me 3 that's horrible customer service. Then today I got a crunchwrap and I get home, take a bite, and realize there's no hard shell in it like there's suppose to be hence the name CRUNCH wrap. It seriously is not rocket science. I do not understand why every visit of mine is such a disappointment my orders are not that hard. The manager I spoke to was the same one from before and says "mistakes happen" and yes I know they happen but it should not happen every time I order food from this location specifically. And it definitely shouldn't happen when I'm already there getting one mistake corrected and you're suppose to be re-making it and somehow something is still messed up. I'm done with this location. I would rather drive to Hobart...
Read moreSometimes when you're running around for the day, it's just so easy to pop into Taco Bell and pick yourself a filling, tasty meal pretty quickly. And if you're vegetarian or vegan, it's difficult to beat the accessibility and variety of Taco Bell, particularly for fast-food.
For instance, this time around I ordered a few spicy potato tacos and bean burritos. Normally they both have cheese and would be vegetarian by default, but ordering these "fresco style" removes the cheese and replaces it with diced tomatoes, making them a simple vegan bite on-the-go.
In terms of the food itself, it's always hot and full of flavor. The bites of potato nestled in the soft shell have a nice seasoning, and the tomatoes add a nice burst of veggie flavor. Without the chipotle sauce the tacos lack the "spice" the name suggests, but slap a hot sauce on there and boom, there's your heat.
And the bean burrito? A classic. Again, as this is fresco, the bean burrito is packing full of refried beans, chopped onions, tomatoes, and an absolutely delicious red sauce. The beans, onions, and tomatoes all add their own unique flavor to the burrito, but the red sauce running undercurrent through it all helps blend the tastes into a fantastic little plant-based bite. Washed it down with a zero-sugar Baja Blast of course, we enjoy our sweet treats. An easy, cheap, and tasty meal is hard to...
Read moreI tried to order at Taco Bell in Portage, IN off of highway 6 and they let us know at the drive-thru they were only taking mobile and door dash orders.
So, I parked in the parking lot and tried to place and online order using the Taco Bell app. It didn’t allow me to place my order - I tried deleting items since it was late and a $35 order but even then it still didn’t work. Then, I tried to place an order on another phone. Again, it wouldn’t let me place the order.
The exact issue was the app didn’t allow me to select a pick-up option (delivery or pick-up/drive-thru).
So, I went through the drive-thru and let them know we couldn’t place an online order and the employee said back, “the mobile app has nothing to do with us and we can’t do anything for you with it”. So we asked if they could simply take our order at the window and she ignored us. Didn’t say anything else.
The service was ridiculous. To be completely ignored when we’re trying to give money to...
