The reason I gave this location 3 stars, instead of 2, wasn't because of the staff or service, but because of the fun I had with my group. The staff was horrible. From the moment you talk to someone at the front counter, they talk to you as if you're some sort of peon. In our case, they stood at the front as if they were gods who didn't have time to patiently answer any of our inquiries.
At that moment, I was already ready to leave. The only reason I didn't was because it was for an anniversary dinner for family. We've all eaten at more expensive steak restaurants and even those places were more humble and accommodating.
The second issue was the waitress. There was intense coughing around a couple of drinks brought out. Instead of bringing out new ones, we were just given those same drinks. Then, before ordering, someone in our group had a question about how a particular dish on the menu is prepared. The waitress had an attitude and rhetorically said, "What do you want me to do? Go ask somebody?" Out of intimidation, the person in our group just said "forget it" and ordered something else.
I've been to this same location during the years of 2010 to 2016 and I used to go with a man who had previous restaurant management experience and he often asked people questions about the menu, and they happily and patiently gave him answers! Some people have certain dietary restrictions, and they shouldn't have to feel shamed for asking how one of the meals is prepared! That alone is unacceptable.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!! Some other people in my group got incorrect drinks and the waitress had attitudes with them too! They told her the drink wasn't the correct fountain drink that they ordered and she acted like the patron didn't know what they were talking about. And this wasn't a group of children. These were older people in their 50s, 60s, and 70s, and they were treated like imbeciles. That is so disappointing!
Imagine how the married couple celebrating their anniversary must have felt--to see the people they care about being treated like gabage on their special occasion. And this isn't a couple who gets to go on vacations to the Bahamas every year or anything like that either! They live a very modest life and this happened during their special moment--so sad!
I'm writing this review because this bothered me a lot. As a top reviewer on Google, I couldn't just sit back, see all this, and pretend none of this happened. I want people, like the ones who work at this establishment, with all their attitudes, superiority complexes, and eye rolling, to know that the customers are the lifeline of any restaurant. If you act like you're tired of all the people you serve, eventually they won't want you to serve them. They'll take their money and go other places. Or, like in this case, they may even warn others about the experiences they've had. And who knows what groups may decide to not show up after that and what tips may be missed out on.
Please do better, get some customer service training. If the company doesn't provide any, go on YouTube for free and watch the video "Give 'Em the Pickle by Bob Farrell." Just do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am from Texas currently working in Indiana. On Saturday evening after I got off from work, I decided to go there for dinner. On that day it was my birthday and the funeral of a family member that I was unable to attend so my spirits were pretty low. I sat at the bar and told the bartender that today was my birthday. I ordered my dinner and after a while another waitress put my check on the counter in front of me. Minutes later my initial waitress asked me if Iād like a to-go container and I said, āyes.ā I boxed my leftovers, but I wasnāt finished with my drink. I was really waiting for my birthday song and dessert but nothing. At this point I started to š. So I took out my driverās license to show my waitress that it was my birthday. After that she left. I believe that is when she put in the request. She came back and the manager was in the area. I heard my waitress tell the manager that I was waiting on my birthday ice cream and she was dismissive. After that gesture I paid for my tab and told them, āIt was okay, I didnāt want it.ā I got up and walked to the hostess station and asked for the manager. She walked over to me, same lady mentioned before, and I took out my driverās license again and handed it to her. She read over it as I told her that it was my birthday and Iām burying a family member today as well. Iām a thousand miles from home and I just wanted something to lift my spirits. I ended by saying that I would never come back again. I contacted their website while I was in the parking lot, and have yet to hear from anyone. In addition, I decided not to take my $45 worth of leftovers because of my treatment. This was definitely not the hospitality that I am used to in Texas, ā Houston, Texas to be exact, especially at Texas Roadhouse. FYI: All of this can be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTexas Roadhouse is always such a great choice whenever we want a fun night out with consistently good food. From the moment you walk in, the energy is upbeat and welcoming. The staff are always friendly and do a great job of making you feel taken care of, even when the restaurant is packed (which it often is, because itās so popular!).
The food is what really keeps us coming back. The steaks are always cooked just the way we ask, juicy and flavorful, with that perfect seasoning you expect from Texas Roadhouse. The ribs fall right off the bone, the chicken dishes are great, and the sides never disappoint. Of course, we canāt forget the rollsātheyāre legendary for a reason! Soft, warm, and served with that sweet cinnamon butter⦠honestly, we could make a meal out of just those alone.
We also love how family-friendly it is. The atmosphere is casual and fun, so you never feel out of place bringing kids along. Thereās plenty of variety on the menu so everyone can find something they like, whether itās a hearty steak dinner, lighter options, or just a big salad. The portion sizes are generous too, so you never leave hungry.
Another highlight is the priceāitās a really good value for the quality and amount of food you get. Compared to other steakhouses, it feels affordable while still giving you that special night-out vibe.
The little touches make it fun tooālike picking your steak from the case or celebrating birthdays with the staffās over-the-top energy. It all adds to the lively, welcoming atmosphere that keeps people coming back again and again.
All in all, Texas Roadhouse nails it every time. Great service, amazing food, a fun atmosphere, and prices that make it easy to go back often. Itās the kind of place you leave already planning...
