Five-Star Flockin’ Feast at Popeyes in Portage, Indiana! Oh, Popeyes in Portage, Indiana, you’ve stolen our hearts and our taste buds! My family and I rolled into this crispy haven, and let me tell you, it was a cluckin’ good time from start to finish. The service? Finger-lickin’ fabulous. The staff greeted us with smiles brighter than a bucket of their golden fried chicken. They were quick, friendly, and handled our order with the precision of a Cajun-seasoned symphony. Even with a bustling crowd, they kept the vibe as smooth as their creamy mashed potatoes. Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: the food. Fresh? Oh, yes, this chicken was so fresh it practically strutted out of the fryer. Each bite of that spicy, crunchy goodness was like a love letter from Louisiana. The biscuits? Buttery pillows of perfection. The sides? Mac and cheese so gooey it could star in a rom-com. And don’t get me started on the mango sweet tea—it’s basically a hug in a cup. Every dish was piping hot, made with care, and bursting with flavor that had my kids doing a happy dance in their seats. The overall experience? A straight-up five-star flavor fiesta. The place was clean, the atmosphere was lively, and the food hit all the right spots. Popeyes in Portage isn’t just serving chicken; they’re serving joy, one crispy bite at a time. We’ll be back faster than you can say “more hot sauce, please!” Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving a meal that’s equal parts soul and spice. Also be prepared to wait a little while, they’re pretty popular and seems to drop everything fresh.

I'm really upset! We got a combo family meal and had two issues. First, see photo... we got chicken that was not only small compared to grocery drumsticks, but had so much meat missing THAT YOU CAN SEE THE BONE đŸ€ŻđŸ˜ Second, and far worse, I got not one but two fries that straight up tasted like mold đŸ€Ź It was nasty! We threw the rest away. We were so excited when this location opened. And it was so good at first. But now... won't be going back any time soon.

So so place for your usual fried chicken. Employees were okay. Small place, small bathroom. They have decent traffic. Dark meat chicken tasted so so, greasy and left me feeling queasy afterwards. Kind of like KFC and grocery store fried chicken. Okay biscuit and mashed potatoes. Honey mustard packet tasted funny. Paid 7.5 dollars for a small meal deal using a coupon, don't feel like it was worth the money even then. But I did like their lemonade.

I purchased something from this location over a week ago. Upon returning home the chicken tenders were way overcooked the biscuits were hard no Ranch in the Box I asked for extra biscuits and an extra mashed potato and gravy no extra biscuits but the mashed potatoes and gravy had hardly anything in the container. I attempted calling the location multiple times left a message with someone it never returned to call filled out two online complaint forms with no call back I will never go to that location or to any Popeyes again. It's bad enough that everything is so high priced but I expect to get what I paid for and the majority of it was thrown in the garbage and unedible.

So it looks like the fix that all of the customers including myself have complained about is to reply back with the exact same message. That doesn't fix my concern with paying high prices and throwing everything in the garbage because of it being unedible. Why would I come back to the location if...

I just happened to be in Portage, and saw Popeyes. We, unfortunately, don’t have a Popeyes in Gary, IN. The one that’s closest is in Griffith, IN, and service is always horrible, no consistency, and etc. So I made an order, and I got the $20 feast, the young lady said it was a really good deal. So I said ok, cool. The chicken was really good, BUT one of my chicken tenders was not done.đŸ˜© The biscuits were so moist and buttery!! The cinnamon apple pie was delicious. I usually don’t care for them, but they were actually good. My husband loves them. It was one of the best Popeyes I had been to in a while. Katrina thank you for your customer service!! Your spirit was warm and inviting, and you had patience. You took time to actually make sure I was satisfied!!! Thank you so much!! And if you’re looking for a good Popeyes, stop by and ask...
