Put one star because the drink was decent. I wouldn't recommend this cafe. The woman making my drink was really rude. I ordered an iced drink, but she wouldn't provide me with a lid for my cup until I repeatedly had to ask more than once. I explained I didn't want it to spill in the car. She provided me with the cup and a straw, but explained that her reason for not wanting to provide the lid they have stacks of in plain site behind the counter, because they're doing their part in saving the planet. Then she tried to guilt trip me, with throwing it on me that I don't want to save the planet. It was bazaar, and didn't make sense. The cup and straw were plastic too. Just like the lid. She got angry with me, which made me feel shocked and dumbfounded. She then threw a lid onto the counter for me, but it had already touched where everyone had been touching and placing stuff down. So I didn't take it. I just left. I'm from out of town, so it's not on my list to return to. Today's the day after 4th ofJuly, so I figured go out to the river n enjoy the town. But never again. P.s. the line was getting long and people were waiting a good while for their food. I'd prefer dennys or mcdonalds...
Read moreWe are party of 3 to 4 families camping at Kernville 2-3 times every summer, this summer we had the worst experience at Big Blue Bear . Staff has gotten more hostile and instead of recognizing every customer they are making our experience less and less pleasant visiting Big Blue Bear shop. If this was in Los Angeles the employees won’t last a day working here. They think they can exercise refusing a service to anyone every 10min. Wrong, wrong wrong.

Whoever owns this place please get a professional help in customer service and never ever close 5 min before stated time on your window or turn down a customers walking in 5 min before closing time, nevertheless start an argument with a customer over using a bathroom, it will not be in your favor. Read moreTerrible service. A woman dumped a cleaning bucket of cleaning water all over the patio that forced me to move in a hurry to get my dog out of the way. She claimed someone had spilled ice cream but how is dumping 5 gallons of cleaning water going to fix that? Just use a mop. I had to ask twice for space to untie my dog and get her out of the way while the woman tried to push the water away with her hands, which was ineffective and made no sense. Then she did some passive-aggressive codependent thing where I was supposed to feel guilty because I was annoyed and inconvenienced and she claimed I did not accept her apology, as if I want to be a part of her head-trip drama on my vacation. An apology is hardly genuine when accompanied by a resentful demand that it be accepted and an expectation to be responsible for the feelings of the person doing the harm. That's a bully's tactic, essentially like saying, "I just caused you harm, and you have to forgive me else you're a bad person." The Accuser's line, the sign of pathological deceit.
