WOW-JUST WOW! New bakery in Kernville-opened in November 2024 with the best pastries around! Do NOT MISS this place next time you’re in Kernville. While up in Kernville we went to eat here every day that they were open and Nothing on their menu disappointed. We ordered breakfast, lunch as well as their baked goods and it was all incredible. French Toast was one of the best we’ve ever had with their berry compote and maple syrup 10/10! Biscuits and gravy- out of this world! Savory meaty gravy with fresh bacon and green onions on top-it’s impossible not to love it! All the breakfast sandwiches were great too! Croissants are flaky and fluffy. For Lunch we got a special turkey and provolone sandwich with fresh made, oven roasted turkey! They sell their fresh baked bread by the loaf too! Everything was reasonably priced-especially for the great quality!!! Staff were all incredibly sweet and helpful when we couldn’t decide which baked goods to get. One of their bakers/chefs was featured on Netflix House of Chocolate which was really cool to learn and you can see right away why this place is such a success! The love and care put into all of their food is obviously from the moment you walk in. And even more bonus points for having GREAT coffee too! They are closed Mondays and Tuesdays so we stocked up on extra food while we could. Trust me, you’ll want to too! We’re 100% coming back here!

I thought my review went through Friday when we were here but I guess it didn't. I'm so glad though because now I can add on now that it's been a few days! I went here with friends for the first time the other day and OH MY! SUCH good food! I had the biscuits and gravy, him the burger and her the sourdough sandwich. None of them disappointed. I got several pasteries (banana bread, a berry and jalapeno/cheese danish, choc chip cookie, 2 donuts) to go and even today (Mon- Labor Day), the banana bread is still quite fresh and I had one donut left (we ate all the rest!) so I put the donut in a small oven at 285 for 5 minutes and it was fresh again. YUM! Loved the staff and wish I could remember everyone's name but here goes what I can- Jacob (jingle heimer schmidt), Stephanie (chef/owner), Mandi, Stacy and more. The pasteries are huge! Can't wait to go back and try the desserts! Great business Stephanie!

Sequoia Mountain Bakery is located where That's Italian use to be. They makes sandwiches, smash burgers, and sweet treats like banana bread, dainish, brownies, and a few others. You're looking at about 5.00 per baked good, and the smash burgers are $8 for a single and $11 for a double. The patties are pretty slim but taste good. I ate my food a little cold the burger and fries were still very good! I love their jalapeño sourdough bread, they have a little bit for everyone, if you're looking for a heavier meal like a Double Smash Burger and fries, to toast and avocado. The jalapeño croissant was delicious, I also tried their Easter Taffy Banana bread and blueberrylemon scone. Everything has been really good! I can't wait to come back and try something else.

We were so delighted to see this new bakery open in Kernville! We visit the area a few times a year and so this was a pleasant surprise.

The staff were all so wonderful and went above and beyond to make our visit exceptional. They were very friendly and accommodating and even brought our order outside to us while we waited for our to-go items.

We tried the breakfast croissant with egg, bacon and cheese and it was delicious! Very nice portions and extremely tasty and high-quality. They even included a small slice of banana bread, which was fantastic! We enjoyed two cold brew coffees with our breakfast and they eerw both flavorful and not bitter at all.

We took home a couple sourdough loaves to try and home and are excited to cut into them soon. We have no doubt they will be excellent as well.

We will definitely be back and will recommend this place to...
