Came to try this spot out for lunch. Heard this was a new spot in town and thought I’d try it out. I travel quite a bit and have hit a few seafood boil spots.
There are a few things I’d like to point out which I hope they change.
Less garlic, more juice. Many of the bites and meat were covered in garlic. Half should be provided to customer per order.
2, Look into serving headless shrimp
Sell toasted bread
Provide bibs for each order instead of upon request.
Provide lemons with orders instead upon request.
Consider tables for 6.
Have the napkins wall mounted to avoid why is happening in the picture… this was before we ate, we left a mess on one as well.

The seasoning is perfect — not too salty, just the right amount of spice — and you can tell everything is made with care. The crab, shrimp, and corn are always juicy and perfectly cooked, and the garlic butter sauce is seriously addicting!
The staff is super friendly and quick, and the restaurant has a fun, laid-back vibe that makes it great for both family dinners and hangouts with friends. You can tell they really take pride in their service and food quality.
Whether you’re a seafood lover or just trying something new, Crab It While It’s Hot is a must-visit. Definitely one of Porterville’s best spots — 10/10...
Read moreThe service is good and the owners/ workers are super friendly. The restaurant is small but its clean.
