Canary has been on our to-try list for a while and, being hungry rather late, this seemed like a good time. Wednesday is karaoke night, and we recognised quite a few local karaoke regulars (including the KJ), a number of new faces, and a very interactive vibe.
But our focus was on food. The menu is quite chicken-centric and they do a good job with the bird. The portions are meal-sized, the quality was great, and the prices within reason. I quite enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was crispy and moist, the slaw was tasty, and the bu'n grilled enough to not fall apart while eating.
I had a whisky sour that was done the old fashioned way with egg white and it was in the top 3 I've ever had.

Great beer selection and really good cocktails which won't break your budget. This place...

The Denver egg stack ("egg stack" seems to be an omelette with the fillings stacked on top instead of folded inside) was fine, if a little bland. Service was fantastic, Gina was very helpful and did a great job. The missing star is primarily because of the ambiance; the restaurant has a jukebox that is REALLY loud, so periodically the music would get so loud my wife and I would have to shout to hear each other, then it would die back down to a reasonable volume again. Very difficult to enjoy a chill Sunday morning in...
