Came in on Labor day. While it was somewhat busy, it was far from packed. Our waitress, Alexa, started off alright but as time progressed, she became very rude and dismissive. Little things began to stack up such as walking off mid sentence, trying to correct an order to make sure an item wasn't included on the ticket that we did not receive (we told her it was totally okay) but as we were trying to address it, she just walks away. Not bringing coffee or water refills. When we told her we were ready for our ticket, she told us to get it at the front meanwhile she's delivering and divvying up other tickets for the other tables around us... We also asked her for a togo box and she said ask the kitchen. When I get to the front to ask them for our ticket, the woman upfront was confused as to why we didn't get our ticket and had to ask Alexa what table we were and Alexa couldn't even remember (the tables were not numbered so there was no way for me to let her know what table we were at). The woman rang us up and low and behold, the item we did not receive was included on the ticket. I want to stress, the other employees were nice and accommodating, it was just Alexa who had a weird rudeness to her. Even after all of that, we still tipped her... Also, table was a mess when we were seated. Don't think...
ย ย ย Read moreVisited our parents down in Portland for Labor Day and my dad wants to eat at Denny's, he loves Denny's. Unfortunately we had the displeasure of having the rudest waitress ever, Alexa. For some strange reason she had no interest in serving our table, yet, we noticed she was more friendly with other tables. We were pretty much ignored the whole time, when we tried to request things from her, she was very unresponsive. My dad asked for a refill on his coffee and didn't get it until 15 minutes later. My brother ordered chocolate chip pancakes, and he got plain pancakes. He tried to let Alexa know, and she just walked away while he was still speaking to her. When we asked her for to go boxes she told us to get it ourselves. When it came time to get the check she told us to go to the hostess booth to get. When we got up there, the hostess looked very confused as to why we were going to them to get our check. They still charged us for chocolate chip pancakes even though that wasn't what we received. We still tipped Alexa even though she didn't deserve it. I have no idea what her deal was, but she made our experience at your restaurant a very terrible one. I do not want to go back to your restaurant again just...
ย ย ย Read moreI went to the Dennyโs there in Portland, Texas, March 19 with my brother and sister-in-law. The young lady that waited on us her name was Kylee and she was very good to us. Very sweet, helpful and courteous. I was planning to eat with my family until something came up that I was not able to so ask the young lady to prepare my food to take home and she did. When I got home in Aransas Pass, which is about 15 minute drive, to my surprise, the food was still as warm as it wouldโve been coming out the kitchen. Then when I began to eat it, I could not believe how good it was! I had the Sizzling skillet, bourbon, chicken, and it was outstanding! So I called to praise the Cook And the manager gave me his name, which is, Jose. Jose, I want to let you know that your food is excellent! Iโd also like to give a shout out to the manager that spoke to me on the phone Richard he was very kind very polite And gave me the information on how to leave this review on Google. It is so nice to have restaurants that have good people like this not only taking care of you at the table and cooking for you but making sure that theyโre overseeing everything as well.....
