Five Guys — Restaurant in Portland

Decided to take my lady here because she has never been. There were 5 employees behind the counter. The girl that took our order was very helpful. but that's about as good as it was going to get. as we were waiting for our food, we couldn't help but to notice how dirty the place was.. tabes had leftover pieces of food on them an used cup. The floor had 3 wet signs but the floor was still dirty and it didn't rain, sooo.. the trash can was full and the one next to the ketchup dispenser was overflowing.. the store is pretty much empty of customers. And it seemed like the employees are just laughing and joking behind the counter...we got our food.the hamburgers were good. The milkshake was great. The french fries would have been good too.However they were too salty. So I told the girl behind the counter and asked if we could get some with less salt. She told me ok. Then one of the guys walked up said "I'm the manager what's the problem" I told him. Then he had attitude told me "that's how they come next time ask for less salt" .ok then ..soo I waited for the new fries. And of course when we got them there were just as salty as the other order. Needless to say, had to throw away both orders, so that's $8 for nothing... Everything came out to $40. Definitely not worth the experience especially considering the price..

Dang this is really sad that Portland can’t have anything nice . Every new spot that has opened up is horrible !!! Idk if it’s the corpus employees, Portland ,or both but these kids have no manners. Zero customer service etiquette and they Mess up the food that was once good. If you want fast food I would recommend Canes over these salty over seasoned soggy fries you can’t eat. The burger is decent if they listen to you. Anyway at the end of the day it’s your money so waste of how you feel. Oh and also if your manager can’t do his job right by setting rules then maybe it’s time for one that will . Get...

Idk about this place yet. I've been to the one in Corpus and it was good. But not the best. And now that they got 1 in portland tx. "I mean is there really a reason why we have more burger joints than we need"? I'm probably not ever going to that "trash can" in portland or ever! Whataburger is good enough for me... shoot if you want a really good burger with a decent price go to "Tha Concession Stand" in lil ole Gregory,Tx. 78459 Burgers and other stuff on menu...
