Genuinely baffled at the poor experience I received with this restaurant this evening. I was on vacation with my family and stopped by on a whim to have dinner since it was near our hotel. Firstly, we were told that there would be a 2 hour wait for the hibachi table, which was disappointing but understandable given that we arrived at 7 PM and were told all hibachi tables had prior reservations. We settled for a booth (which was still a 45 minute wait).
While waiting at the bar I watched a patron next to me order a double Henrick’s gin which took the bar staff 30 minutes to pour. We laughed about it after 15 minutes, but he became understandably upset as he continued to wait for a such a quick pour. This should have been enough to tip me off on the service we were about to receive.
Once we were seated and our order was placed, I was told there was no Kirin Ichiban available (never experienced this at a hibachi restaurant). A different server brought out our sushi order and said, “Uh, I don’t know what or whose this is” and dropped off the sushi rolls without giving us plates to eat them with. When we received our entrees, our server forgot the salads and soups with our hibachi orders and told us he just forget about them when we brought it up. Also, I have no idea if the portions of the typical hibachi dinner are different when ordered at the hibachi table instead of a booth, but they were definitely not priced any cheaper. The portions were so incredibly small (maybe 4 oz COMBINED for beef and chicken) that we all left still hungry - I have never left a hibachi dinner without leftovers and being absolutely stuffed.
When we received our check, not only I was charged for the Kirin Ichiban that I never received, but I was given an extra charge of $2 for each order of fried rice received with our meals, despite the menu saying that fried rice is included in our meals. Our server had to have manager approval to remove, which took almost 20 minutes because “he’s setting up chairs at the hibachi tables and he’ll take it off when he’s done”.
When all was said and done, our bill for this experience was over $100. Even if our bill was half of our total, I still would have walked out with a poor taste in my mouth - but at full price, I felt like I was robbed. Every step of our ordering process was bungled - the experience was extremely amateurish, the food was mediocre, and the genuine lack of care about these mistakes by waitstaff and management was incredibly surprising.
Given that we are here while on vacation, it’s obvious that we won’t be returning. I only hope our experience is uncommon, however I would caution others on vacation to avoid making the same mistake we did this weekend by choosing...
Read moreI’m never one to ever complain. I have worked in the industry I get it things happen. This is my third time going to this establishment, first 2 times didn’t have one issue perfect service & good food. Went yesterday at around 11:30 am. Just an FYI If y’all don’t have the full menu on the weekends then don’t give out the full menu, it makes the service go smoother for the customer & worker. I witness a waitress go back & forth with multiple customers including our table on what they were serving & what you couldn’t get on the menu. Second please do more training on your employees on the menu. The waitress we had did say she was new so I understand it’s partially not her fault. I ordered a bento box which comes with a bunch of things some of the items you get to choose what you want either egg drop soup or miso, a California roll or spicy tuna. I told the waitress I wanted the Shrimp teriyaki bento box with an egg drop soup & the California roll. Five minutes after we ordered she came back to tell our table we couldn’t get the certain items we wanted because they aren’t doing that portion of the menu. Okay that’s fine should of told us before it’s understandable though she’s new. So then I ask if I can order the yaki- udon with tofu, she told me we can’t do substitutions even though the past 2 times I’ve been there they have done it for me. I didn’t argue with her just said okay just give me the shrimp yaki-udon then! Tell me why she brought out a whole California roll, & an egg drop soup & our entrees. We were charged for the California roll & egg drop soup. The California roll & egg drop soup was part of the bento box I originally ordered, it came with it, it was not separate. I don’t blame her fully, it’s partially managements fault for not training her properly on the menu. We didn’t complaint to management, they were having major issues with their card machine completely not working which was another thing my husband had to go to the atm to get cash to pay (not complaining about that it’s completely out of their control when that happens, I’ve been there) so I didn’t want to bother the manager, he was occupied with other things. I just let the waitress know the mistake she had made & we still ate & paid for everything. Food could have been better this day. Just please don’t give out the whole menu or please let the customers know what portion you can order from if y’all aren’t doing the whole menu & second train the staff more on the menu especially the...

I removed a 🌟 down to three service is still slow, only 3 tables of people. Chefs should have no problem, but for some reason still takes some time to receive order. Rolls are small for being signature rolls $12-14. Refer to pictures. I would have to recommend you try Oyshi Sushi right down the road you can read my review on them and compare. Matt must have his hands full trying to make people happy due to slow service I'm sure. Seems to be a very good manager and will try and remedy any situation.

The interior of this restaurant is amazing will take pictures next time I visit. The service on other hand does not match the elegance of it. This would have been 5 Stars+ but the wait staff is unorganized which i know its the first week of operation, maybe this review can give the manager and owner some ideas or not. Wait staff should be in a collar shirt and button up look professional to bring the big spenders in that focus on being waited on Hand and Foot. They do not want to be the one waiting on you. Sushi chef that was in the Adidas hat with the bill flipped up didn't help the appeal at all. i'm sure he is a great sushi chef, but like i said you have to dress the part. Maybe get them some nice black chef coats. That would really POP. If your going to wear a hat wear one with the restaurant logo. Waitresses tend to linger around the ticket printer and look @ their phone and socialize and drink beverages. On that note couple of waitresses and sushi chef Adidas flip bill was taking a break at the sushi bar. Chef would eat a little then go behind counter make someones order then return to his meal at the end of the sushi bar. They also had a shift change that took place right in the middle of the dinning area, I'm sure they have a place in the back that they can do that, and if you have to check your phone check it in the back. Park in the back so you have room in the front for guest. Best observation were the two bartenders one was Tall blonde with tattoos on arm, and a short haired blonde with glasses. These two had black COLLAR shirts that looked professional. These two ladies were going non stop and checking on the quest very often. If you want to know what Professionalism is take notes from these two. I will be sitting at the bar now.
Conclusion This place offers 10% military discount. Manager Matt i think was his name was doing his best to make...
