I just stopped in for some Green tea since I was waiting for an Uber back to my home.
Now I know really know what I'm doing wrong at home but when I get my green tea from whole foods it doesn't taste anything as good as the tea does here and it has a much deeper color as well.
My main reason for going here honestly it's because I wanted a place to sit down and relax cuz I had 15 minutes to burn before my Uber came, but I'm really glad I came in.
I prefer to sit outside and I have to admit from the pictures as you can see it's absolutely wonderful 👍
I really can't tell you how nice the decor is and again this is actually outside of the Japanese restaurant.
Full bar menu, cocktails and liquor. And on the inside is actually quite nice as well.
How come in later to check out the food I'm sure I'll be there sometime this next month but I really encourage you to go sit outside because it really is a wonderful place. Highly recommended if you have a special someone.
Unlike a lot of other places where you just order a drink and play forget about you... That is definitely not the case here and the server and the maitre d were absolutely on top even with the short interaction for a 15 min wait.
There's also plenty of security in the parking lot to keep your car safe so that's an extra bonus.
I can't get over how nice the decor is outside in the seating area please go check it out yourself! 👍
And as another metric I'm going to use, this place is blogger and camera friendly. Mobile hotspot users will be happy to know that T-Mobile and Verizon both have strong networks here so getting work done while on the go...
Read moreI am a fan of kaiten sushi because they tend to have similar quality sushi as mid-range restaurants at a lower price. This place is doing it all wrong. They want to serve conveyer belt sushi at the same price as a mid-range restaurant. Two-piece nigiri sushi that has been sitting out all day is $4 a plate. Two thin pieces of crusty old fried sushi are $4. Everything is drenched in honey mustard and jalapeno slices. The cheapest plates of sushi are literally canned tuna fish heaped onto battleship rolls. Every kaiten sushi place - and every restaurant in general - is a balance between cost and value. There is no value here at all. It's tacky and loud with big screen TVs playing sports and a giant mirror so you can watch yourself getting poorer. The booths are just four cheap chairs around a cheap table. They bring you one dish of ginger and wasabi per person on request.
I'm not saying I'm not cheap, but I'm also not stupid. No kaiten place is great sushi, but Sushi Chiyo in Hollywood and Sushi Village on 181st have figured out how to serve thick slices of salmon nigiri for half the price and make up the cost elsewhere without making you feel robbed. We split four plates and left. I felt bad because our server Vida was great, but there was no way we were spending...
Read moreBeen a long time customer but sad to say goodbye. Sat for 30 minutes waiting for part of my order only to be told they forgot to put it in. Upon getting my receipt, noticed there was a 15% "service charge". When I asked the guy what it was for he told me the tip....I sat there baffled for a bit then asked the other worker why I was forced to tip if they didn't get my order right. He then, with an attitude went to the register and gave me cash back.
Now to be fair there are signs posted, which I did not care to read as it starts by saying mask are required so I figured it was old, beings they weren't requireing mask....and when you patronize a place for so long, you get in, order what you want, eat and leave, you don't stop to read signs...so I take the blame for that. But beyond me having a problem with this new policy (like I have to pay a fee to eat at your establishment?? That seems odd, I've heard of this for big parties as special accommodations have to be made, but for 1 person? No thanks) the attitude I received for simply asking the question was uncalled for. Now I'm sure you all will continue sell lots of sushi, but as a consumer I have options, and unfortunately here will not be one of them. Thanks for...
