Well tonight I was in mood for a sandwich so I thought I would come to the Jersey Mike's and try this new tuna sandwich day I saw we get there we come inside and there's a young girl working she says welcome in we'll be with you in just a moment she called for someone I think it's a manager to come help because the other employee left her she said she sorry she's a minor and she can't use slicer due to her being a minor which I completely understand that wasn't the problem so a white heavy set gentleman came out of an office comes in the back goes in the back does something comes back says how can I help you My husband said we wanted to try the number 10 on the Rosemary parmesan bread he goes we're out so I said okay never mind then I want the number eight and my husband ordered while we are trying to order the young girl was like hey this order for someone keeps coming but I don't know what happened to the receipt this person I don't know he is a manager or not looks at her like he is annoyed that he even had to come help her and he had to even work he goes well I print them out and I print them up there she's like well where are they going not meaning it rudely he goes well I don't know reprint it she kind of just looks at us so we continue to do our stuff she does what she needs so she asked him how does she reprint the receipt it's like he gets annoyed goes over there says something under his breath shows her how to do it and walks away she asked me what I want on my my sandwich I tell her and then my husband he got the 42 and he wanted extra mayonnaise and he said to the gentleman hey before you close my sandwich could you please put extra mayonnaise The gentleman is like what what so my husband and this poor girl both say he wants extra mayonnaise he literally looks at this poor employee and goes you do not need to repeat it I'm sorry but nobody should be talked to or treated the way that this poor child was being treated she was polite from the get-go apologizing about the long wait which it wasn't that long of a wait we've waited longer at this restaurant before she was apologizing and just sweet as hell and to watch this gentleman if that's what you want to call him talk to her like that it's just not something I appreciate it I told her she did amazing and especially her being a minor and her knowing not to touch a machine that she's not allowed to if this is how Jersey Mike's is going to allow their managers or other employees to treat their employees and I feel that we need to go somewhere else and spend our money because if that had been me the way this person was talking I would not have a job she didn't deserve to be treated that way and especially in front of customers doesn't look good at all so to that young lady are just want to let you know you did a great job and no but you did not deserve to be talked to like that at all and he should be ashamed of himself and then another customer asked him do they get busy because they're open until late because of all the bars around us and this gentleman goes I don't really think sandwiches are bar food do you like all the customer was doing was trying to have conversation with this person it's just like this person doesn't want to work. The girl worker she even told us we had a free regular sandwich or we could save it in next time get a bigger one we said no we would use the the one we have for free and she just kept apologizing My heart broke for her because she should not have been treated or talked to that way in front of people at all. And the poor girl just kept her head down embarrassed and kept on working quietly but you could see how it hurt her broke my heart it was really uncalled for for him to treat her that way especially if she was just doing her job she wasn't sitting in a office she was on the line doing her job. If we decide to come back and see this gentleman there I will just leave I won't pay money for someone to treat...
Read moreChris needs some more training in customer service and how to be a lead manager or what ever title he holds. Started by trying to call in my order for a “faster” option. He argued with me so badly on the phone about how I wanted my sandwich. (Regular #13 no onion or tomato add bacon and pickle.) that I hung up and just went to the store to finish and actually eat tonight. When we got to the store woowee the energy in there was off not welcoming and the customers in front of us were super quiet. I started by ordering my original #13 then he yelled at me I was in the meat and bread section and I will take care of my vegetables down the line. When we told him we had more than just the one sandwich he was actually mad. We made it through the size bread # with him. The sweet girls who were working their tails off with him were the best part of our experience tonight. He however does not see the value of good working employees as he in front of all of us customers he yelled at the girl on the veggies she needed to get the next sandwich going she simply said I am finishing this one and I am on it. He in the most creepy way walked up to her and starting whispering to her and her poor face changed to looking scared and stress. She got through the next customer and then it was us. I was super nice with her and hopefully let her know she was appreciated by us. The other girl was being yelled at to get on the grill now and she was equally scared and stressed of Chris. Then when we were all made up he pushed himself past them to the register to check us out. The part that got me at that point he wrapped labeled each sandwich and made the comment I will finish this before I touch the register as you don’t want those germs. Like the sharpie he was using to label the sandwiches with was not cross contamination. Or even back in his meat and bread section he with his hand touched all 4 of our sandwiches top of each meat crossing turkey and ham then tuna with ham. And because of that now me who does not eat pork now has a tuna sandwich full on ham. He checked us out with the gloves on his hands still oh goodness. We got our food and left I went back for his name he hesitated to give it to me as he did not have his tag but gave it to me the 2 nd time I asked. Chris do better if you don’t like your job simply find one you do like and remember a good employee is hard to come by don’t ruin them girls or their experience as they look very young possibly minors at that just because you are an unhappy middle aged man stuck in a career you do not like. Still hungry can’t eat my ham flavored tuna top...
Read moreAs a girl who grew up in Jersey I actually LOVE Jersey mikes but this location on this night SUCKED. they had obviously messed up the order before them. I waited patiently not a problem. They get to my sand which and the girl finishing it is literally barely paying attention to what she is doing. She puts lettuce on half barley any mayo and is looking around at the next people in line (who someone else is helping) because they are confused about options... then someone come for a pickup order. Instead of finishing my sand which which literally just needs to be cut she stops making it to make this pickup order. She put NO care into it just slapping things on, folding the bread over so everything was spilling out. The poor guy who order was watching. Then she proceeds to pickup both of our sandwiches and places them on the counter away from the prep area RAW. NO PAPER JUST RIGHT ONTO THE DIRTY COUNTER. She finales up the pickup order and the tomatoes are falling out of the sand which all over the paper. They guys is watching this and she just looks at him and then looks down at the sandwhich and doesn't put the tomato back in! Just wraps it with the tomato's sitting in the paper OUT of the sandwhich. This entire time she is barely looking at what she was doing. Gross and totally spaced out. Horrible food service. Won't be coming back to this...
