Los Potrillos Mexican restaurant — Restaurant in Portland

The food was really good. Taste was great and it was very hot when it came out. I had the burrito grande and a tamale and both were delicious. The restaurant wasn't very crowded, just busy.

The service was prompt but our waitress was not overly friendly, or unfriendly...just very matter-of-fact. There was a gentleman who took the time to come over and ask how everything was. He was much more friendly. To my surprise, he also picked up some of the empty dishes from our table and carried them away. I dont ever recall a manager or owner who did that. Kudos to that man for pitching in!

Easily the best mexican food around. Never got an order wrong and never dissapoints in quality. Fairly priced as well.

Edit 12/16/2024: The portion sizes have decreased signifigantly while remaining the same price. Food is still great, but you get much less of it. Still a great spot, and the guys that run it are friendly.

Edit 2 4/19/2025: Since my last post, they have moved from being a truck and are now inside the building. It is very nice in there and staff is friendly. Portion sizes are no longer an issue like my last update, it actually seems like they have gotten bugger and it is pretty cheap compared to other resturaunts. Food...

So when we arrived around 3:15 pm, we asked if we could still order off the lunch menu as it did not have time limit or extra fee after a certain time on the menu. They told us yes. So we did. When we received our check boy to our suprise they charges each lunch dish an additional $2. As it was after 3 pm they told us. THIS IS NOT INFORMED ON THE MENU and the SERVER NEVER SAID ANYTHING!!! HE COULD HAVE STATED YES YOU CAN ORDER FROM THE LUNCH BUT THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL FEE DO TO THE TIME OF DAY!!!! Be cautious of what they are...
