McDonald's — Restaurant in Portland

So, this was a while ago, but I feel I should still share. It was during the height of the riots of "Cops are Bad and covid... I can't recall if we were wearing masks yet or not or if it was a time it was lifted. 🤷‍♀️ I am not a cop but drive for Non Emergency medical wearing dark blues. I look like a cop. Sometimes, I get thank you (depending on where I am) but also get dirty looks.

So, I ordered a Big Mac. I was on my lunch after driving up from Brookings, mind you I had to leave Grants Pass Oregon at 5am to get to Brookings, and before that had to wake up at 3am to be at work at 5am. So, I was tired, hungry and still had to drive back to Grants Pass after my lunch. Oi.. 30 minutes, I waited for my bigmac. Two kiddos were very intrigued with my uniform. They also thought I was a cop. Covid was still a thing, so the play place was closed. They were bummed and I was bummed with them because it looks fun. Mind you I'm the size of an 8yr old, so technically I can still play in them as long as I don't mention my age 😂 This is how we stay young folks.

It seemed the father of the kids goes there frequently, and noticed I had been waiting a while. A few others chimed in too, "Aaah you're getting a burger," as if it's a common thing to wait 30min every time for one. 😒

I still think wearing my blues had something to do with it. Once a manager realized I was still waiting, and not a cop, it was all apologies, and my burger came out quick, hot, and yummy. Lol. I also got a Freebie Card for next time. So thank you , I think you were wearing what resembled a Sailers hat. It was awesome. The hat and your smile and quick action made my day. So the 4 stars is for you...and the kids. I loved their curiosity as it made the wait enjoyable. I personally don't have kids, just 3 pets.

But gosh darn 30min.l for a burger. I worked 16hrs that day. Lol

My husband and I stopped by for a quick dinner on our way home. He ordered a dbl bacon QP w/cheese, fries & a coke. I ordered a large coffee and a 6pc chicken strips. We waited approximately half an hour at a filthy table (that I cleaned up because they were ALL filthy.) When our food finally got there, the fries weren't even room temperature. My husband took them back and asked for fresh fries. Then he had to go back again because his burger was COLD & had ONE strip of bacon broken in half on it. He paid more than $7.00 for 2 limp patties on a soggy bun? And my strips were inedible: cold, hard & so overcooked my dog wouldn't even eat them. Like gravel-covered leather. After taking his burger back to get the right HOT burger, one of the workers came to our table & had the gall to ask if we minded them just adding more bacon to the same cold burger!? That is disgusting and unprofessional. He requested fresh-made food & got THE SAME cold burger in return. Then he had to argue with 4 of the workers AGAIN to at least get the bacon on it! Improperly handled orders, workers cross-contaminating old & new food and uncooked meat is dangerously unsanitary. I was so appalled by then that I didn't even bother trying to get fresh strips. There's no excuse for such ridiculously ignorant and highly offensive behavior from staff at a restaurant that serves overpriced,...

Mouthy millenial "floor lead" who tosses bags around and has hissy fits was the only highlight to my visit at this location. Half full parfait, and I ask him/her for one with yogurt in it and am told it settled with a roll of the eyes. After I ask for manager replies "well I am the floor lead" i ask ok where is your manger?? Nice lady comes refunds money and tells me to keep product after I tell her twice I don't even want it anymore still pushed for me to take it like that would fix this. What kind of upper management is running this letting sassy little kids run a shift. I hope to hear from owning team about this. I am like really this is what McDonald's has become. Also not that it mattered but as always sweet tea was about out and past the pull sticker time. There are procedures that are written to make all of the franchise the same. This one is worst yet. Half of play area toys don't even work. I'll drive out of my way to visit a different one.

Update Took manager weeks to contact me about issues after email, review, and phone call. Would never go back. Others in area are much better and give you full portions without mouthy staff. I still firmly believe that this is the worst fast food establishment I have...
