I was sitting across the street at mobile autoglass while my vehicle was getting a new windshield. Hunger struck as I happened to notice that "Mi Burrito" was across the street. As I was making my way on over, I was mulling over the direction I wanted to take my tastebuds. Once I made it to the counter, the bottom right-hand corner of the menu caught my eye. Could this be? Was I dreaming? A wrinke in time? Was I in a different place? I know I will receive a ton of flack for this. But contrary to what most folks think they know--one of a taquerias best kept secrets, is being a purveyor of an All-American Diner Classic: The Cheese Burger. After a concise but genuine and kind conversation with the host, I felt comfortable knowing that I could indulge in both, a taco, and also in what most would consider a fantasy; A Cheese Burger from a Taqueria. I ordered 1 Taco Al-Pastor that was cooked to spec, the olores and marinade potent but agreeable. Not to mention the sauce bar that was laden with house made and well-known branded sauces; also present, other required accouterments from pickled jalapeños, carrots, and onions-- to limes. DID I MENTION THEY HAD RANCH IN THIS SAUCE BAR? I also ordered a cheese burger, but then, hunger--under the guise of inspiration - had me requesting BACON. Luckily, Mi Burrito was equipped and ready for such a whim. For the sake of you, my readers, I will summarize my Bacon Cheese Burger experience for brevity-- If you watched "The Menu" (Nov. 2022)... the way "Margo" looked while she safely sat hundreds of meters from the blowing up restaurant, as she reintroduced the cheese burger into her mouth after she had savorly used it to barely escape near death. That was pretty close to my experience. (I apologize for the slight spoiler for those of you who were thinking about watching it) (Pro-tip: On your plate or in the condiment barge, mix some salsa Roja in the ranch for a mildly spicy situation that absolutely belongs on their waffle fries.)

A hidden gem!! If it weren’t for google maps I would not have even noticed this place. Service was quick and friendly. Let’s get into the food. I ordered beef tacos with rice and beans. Best way to describe the meat is to imagine the tenderness of pulled pork but beef instead. From the crunchiness of the fried taco to the freshness of the tomatoes and lettuce, this was perfectly put together. 10 out of 10 would recommend. I don’t remember the dish my partner ordered but I tried it and it was delicious as well. If you don’t see parking on the street there is also additional parking in the back. This place isn’t your fancy dining with frills but more so like being invited into homey authentic Mexican cookout being served in their dining room.

Thrilled that this place was opened during these covid times. I ordered the cheese enchiladas and the husband ordered the chicken mole. We were both pleased with our take away orders. The food was delicious, not overly spicy (mine wasn’t spicy at all- the way I like it) and not overly salty or oily. They used a good amount of cheese (where the entire dish was NOT covered) and the flavors were on spot. I’d definitely visit this place again. Their prices are amazingly reasonable! The only concern I have (which is not the owners fault), is the condition of the surrounding area. Parking is not the easiest and safety is a concern.

I was in the Portland area looking for good, authentic Mexican food. I found MI Burritio through Google and decided to give it a try. It's a small casual place but don't let that discourage you. The food was delicious! The owner was very friendly and eager to please. I had the chimichanga and it was one of the best I've ever had! My dad ordered crunchy tacos and my friend ordered traditional pork and steak tacos. We also had chips with pico de gallo and homemade salsa. Everything was delicious!! If you're looking for great authentic Mexican food, and want a new place to try, you should definitely give MI Burrito a shot!

One of those classic “hole in the walls” that do comfort food Right. The staff & owner are always friendly, food fresh and well prepared & they’re relatively quick for how busy it can get at times. They greet you at entry & thank you each time :) Their menu is MASSIVE, have very fair prices & like many places sadly do… they Don’t hold their sauces, salsas & fixings hostage — which is nice because they have many good, homemade ones! If your tummy doesn’t enjoy the food here — then you probably weren’t actually hungry OR have possibly lost your taste buds (likely an odd story).

Well well well ............ So , As a Mexican I’m always very critical of Mexican restaurants , and here in Portland it’s hard to find a good taco without dinging to much the budget ( yes I’m talking about you ... overrated "por qué no ") but today was a good find ! “Mi Burrito” treat me good ! Al pastor tacos was probably one of the best so far , asada wasn’t impressive but good ! The size of the taco was medium so not a traditional street taco but bigger. The service was fast and good , Which is always important. I’m definitely coming Back !
