Taco Gang PDX — Restaurant in Portland

Really great tacos! Super impressed. Portland’s taco game is often lacking, but this place is definitely a hidden gem. I’m cool with spending $5 a taco here because the tortillas are homemade and beautifully pliable; the meat (especially the pastor! seriously, get the pastor.) is perfectly seasoned and moist, everything tastes super fresh and the sauces are delicious as well. I am finally getting around to reviewing after many visits.

Taco Gang’s fresh pressed corn tortillas are phenomenal, all of the fillings are delicious, great veggie options. I’m a super fan of the carnitas and birria. Don’t forget to try the birria quesatacos when he has them on special, dip them in the consumé as well.

Their burritos are some of the best in town and they put a nice sear on the flour tortillas. Their salsas are also excellent....

They have good customer service. Nice folks. I ordered a veggie burrito which I was hoping would be great. Unfortunately, the beans, rice, and cheese really lacked flavor. Very bland. I couldn’t finish it. It was so disappointing.

I really wanted to like this place since it is so close to home. However, I’ll have to pass on this place and drive to my regular spot for a good veggie burrito.
