Portland Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Portland

Traveling up to Portland for work and stumbled upon this place far too early in the morning without having any coffee. Upon entering, the atmosphere is quiet, laid-back, and the staff is super friendly and down to earth. The pastries looked amazing, but I fought off the urge to buy every piece of sugar and got the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time (lavender breve). It made coffee bought the previous morning taste like an ashtray....no comparison. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants quality coffee, great service, beautiful looking baked goods, and a quiet atmosphere in the middle...

Today I ordered: Sweet Thoughts: M $5.25 (White Chocolate, Caramel and Vanilla) Small $4.50 Medium $5.25 Large $5.50

Apple Fritter $5.00 It is made with a lot of butter. I will say that the closer to the middle it did lose some flavor and the dough became extremely doughy.

Quaint little place, with a few tables in not so elegant yet cozy setting. Stellar service - we were offered a free flower each and my girlfriend chose two still vivacious roses out of a get-one-while-it-lasts bouquet. I had a delicious danish out of the small batch of well chosen sweet choices - only one of each though. The beans are illy brand so coffee starts from a good premise. The place may be a bit out of the way for most, and you'll not be midst the 'in' scene here (well, who knows, soon?) but if you're in the area it is a well worth...
