Traveling up to Portland for work and stumbled upon this place far too early in the morning without having any coffee. Upon entering, the atmosphere is quiet, laid-back, and the staff is super friendly and down to earth. The pastries looked amazing, but I fought off the urge to buy every piece of sugar and got the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time (lavender breve). It made coffee bought the previous morning taste like an ashtray....no comparison. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants quality coffee, great service, beautiful looking baked goods, and a quiet atmosphere in the middle...

Apple Fritter $5.00 It is made with a lot of butter. I will say that the closer to the middle it did lose some flavor and the dough became extremely doughy.
