River Pig Saloon — Restaurant in Portland

Went on a Saturday night. Waited 25 min for curly fries no cheese no ranch (we are dairy free). When they brought them we realized they had dairy on them so asked them to be remade. Waiting another 20 min and nothing. So we asked the bar and a bit later they brought the fries and they quickly walked off before we could tell them they AGAIN were wrong and had dairy on them. So we had to wait at the bar to get someone’s attention to get it remade again. They had already done last call and so refunded us the fries and “comped our drinks” (I’m pretty sure they only comped one drink) i for one, bought my 2 drinks at the bar, so i personally wasn’t comped for anything. So basically i went to a bar and wasn’t served food even tho i ordered food.. which is really not okay. Not to mention my sister still got charged for her cocktail and her “mixer shot” which was basically just 4oz of grapefruit juice without even the tiniest bit of vodka taste… and they charged her $10 for that shot lol..even after the horrible experience we had and after i had very clearly explained to the bartender that my sister wanted a shot because she needed something strong but the server still recommended she get the mixer shot. When i went to talk to our server about this she just comped both my sisters drinks and told us we were good, no apology, no care to try and understand. Like i get that people have bad days but we were more than nice to them about the situation and the missed expectations and literally no one seemed to care enough to make sure our problems were taken care of. I work right across the street and used to come a lot more. Probably won’t be coming back...

Went here with some friends and had a pretty negative experience. The hostess was nice but seemed like she had her hands full running things and when we got into the place the reason became clear. The serving staff that I could see were spending more time socializing than taking orders, and I felt like I was treated as an inconvenience for trying to order. Our order was forgotten about twice and it was a fight to get a single drink.

In the end, my group waited well over an hour for our first drink and didn't want to stick around for a second. I understand that it was a busy time, but that doesn't explain or excuse the way the unfriendly attitude the staff displayed to people in my group. Aside from the hostess, all of the staff were either directly rude or just ignoring us. I felt unwelcome at the saloon, and with all the options in Portland I can't imagine a...

We are out of towners and this bar was recommended to us. So we hung out for a couple hours and laughed with the bar tenders. Next thing we know a bunch of good looking gals come in a big group and this tattooed, mean mugging, rude guy taps me on my arm and tells us to "finish your drink, you got 30 seconds!" I just got my drink! There wasn't any announcement for last call. This dude waited next to me until I downed my drink. He told me like 2 more times to hurry up and I did but I don't down my nice drinks like that. This guy was relentless! Then he yelled at another couple to "get out", while the group of girls stayed inside. Ordering drinks after 2 a.m.!! That's agaisnt OLCC laws. On top of that he locked the front doors, also against the law! Let's just say, we will never go to that...
