Me and a friend of mine went to subway after a long day of work. It was buy one and 32 ounce drink get one sub free. We went to our local 24 hr subway ti find that it was closed untill 12:30am. We showed up at approximately 11:45 pm we were vary disappointed when we saw that the 24 hour subway was closed, But we decided to wait until it was to open again instead of heading home and wasting the gas to come back. When the subway opened again. We went in and heard the worker (later found out her name was Audrey) yell from the back. "Just so you know the offer ended at midnight" I said back " we have Ben here waiting sence 11:45, plus we got a sandwich earlier and it said that the offer was good from the 4th to the 11th" Audrey then started to get furious and call her manager to ask if this is true. She spent about ten minutes on the phone. After she hung up she told us that we would need a recipient to use the promotion. My friend showed her the recipient. She rolled her eyes and ask in a rude manner slamming down the sandwich paper asking what sandwich we wanted and if any sandwitch like we were a bother to her. Another costumer say that he would like one. She asked him rudely if he was getting the promotion. He said 'no I would just like one sandwich, and sorry for having you make me a sandwitch" she then slammed down all three breads. Through out the hole sandwich making process she made it seem like it was our fault she had to make us sandwiches. She was barly holding herself together while preparing our sandwiches. At the register I saw tears run down her face. During this visit me and my friend had to sit there want watch her throw our sandwich and her knife around and get mad because she had to make us two sandwiches. That visit was the worst visit that I have ever had at a subway we didn't leave the subway with our sandwiches until 1230am on 11/4/2015 the next day we went back and found out that Audrey is the assistant manager.. And had a similar experience with her again...
Read moreI was looking forward to having subway for the first time since being pregnant and giving birth like 10 days ago. The service at this location was so abysmal I decided against it. Literally the only one in the store while my mom and brand new baby waited in the car and neither of the employees seemed to have a system for how to balance in-store orders vs online orders and they were both working on the same “5-sandwich order” like it was their first day, and not a supervisor or manager in sight to help them figure it out. As a long time service industry worker, im no stranger to having/needing patience. So… that said, the online order was being made just for it to sit and wait, while I stood and waited for them to even look up from the ticket, and I stood in silence in an empty dining room for 5 minutes watching them struggle to make a single sandwich ticket before I said a word. The young high school aged girl at the counter did not even acknowledge the wait time or apologize for their lack of service (or experience IMHO) when I asked if they are told to handle all to-go orders before they acknowledge customers inside the store and instead said “if i don’t want to wait, i could leave”. Definitely...
Read moreI stopped in this evening while on my way home after catching a movie. Overall my experience was pleasant. The young lady who made my sandwich was very sweet and professional. Then there was the young man at the register. He seemed snarky. It happens. I told him my sandwich was a foot long tuna, and said I wanted to make it a meal. Tossed a bag of sun chips on the counter and walked the few steps to grab a root beer. As soon as my back was turned he started some shenanigans or other with "..Tunnaaaa.." and some obvious clowning behind me as his friends he'd been chatting with chuckled at his antics. No worries. But I get back to the register and he's rewrapping my sandwich. Suspicious. But probably nothing. I paid and walked out, then on the street corner I realized he hadn't been wearing gloves. And he'd been handling money. And who knows when he last washed his hands? And why did he touch my food?.. And I set my sandwich on a trashcan and walked away.
I've put many years into food service. Good service is everything. That young man needs to grow up and take his work seriously before he really ruins someone's day, instead of just wasting...
