Sushi Yummy & BBQ Noodle House — Restaurant in Portland

Came here with a dear friend for a celebratory lunch today because we heard they make Chinese chopped chili style fish head. At first we were told they were sold out but luckily enough they still had one in stock. Lucky for us! It's no surprise that they sell out because this was hands down one of the most delicious fish plates I've ever had the honor of enjoying in Portland. Our server was friendly and informative about our dish taking a bit longer to cook. We both enjoyed miso soup and a salmon roll while we waited. The soup was hot and fresh and the sushi roll was a nice light appetizer. We also ordered a spider roll to accompany our main dish which was oh so fresh, and the chef was kind enough to offer a bowl of rice to go with our fish. We were warned the chopped chili would be very spicy, and I was worried it would be too much for me and my lady friend but I found it to be a deliciously tolerable level of heat. If I hiccup because of the spice level that's when I think it's too much, but this was a savory and salty heat in both green and red chilies which both had their own nuance and accompanied the fish perfectly. You can tell they pride themselves in good food done well. I will absolutely come back and be sure to bring my friends when celebrating another special occasion. Stopped by because I was on my way to school and I was hungry. Didn't want to go out of my way for some food so I pulled up to what was on my right on the way there. At first I was totally into it. Everything was cute and I was feeling the vibe. Then things started getting weird. There was a roach just walking across the wall the entire time I was there. It grossed me out but I didn't let it get to me. I got my food and I was hyped. The food looked good and I enjoyed the big portion. Then I started to dig in and the rice was weird. It smelled and tasted weird so I didn't even bother trying to finish it. Ate some of the shrimp and it was mushy. Either cooked way too long or it just wasn't fresh. After tasting the food and seeing the roach, I became uneasy. The gyoza was great, super tasty and so was the sushi. Although given how the shrimp was lacking, it made me question the quality of their seafood. I'm not sure what went on with my visit but I won't be coming back. I was just put way too off for redemption. I could have taken more pictures of the roach lounging about but I feel it was unnecessary. You could see it on the right hand corner...

We stopped here to pick up a delivery order, my fiance was driving. Everything with the restaurant was ok, the food looked really good. I would definitely give it a try. But as soon as I got back In the car and we backed away from restaurant, a young woman came running around the building, rather slowly, and was yelling "dont hit me", but not yelling loudly... with a man right behind her.... It looked like they were running together rather than her running from him....anyway, she ran straight for the drivers door, windows are down, and grabs to hold on to the door, as the man is not even one foot behind her and has a can of spray mace in his hand, he didnt look like he was making a move on her... Quickly thinking, my fiance just got us out of there and as we looked back it seemed the situation improved and he was no longer chasing/she was no longer running or yelling anything... This leads me to believe that had there been any hesitation on our part, we would have been the victims of an attempted carjacking... It was about 9:00 Wednesday night when this happened.
