Taco Bell — Restaurant in Portland

The remodel is finished and I was actually kinda excited to check it out. The menus are al LCD screens now and best of all the had a place you could order yourself ( I always feel kinda dumb when i step up to order and end up staring at the menu with my mouth open and order the first thing my eyes settle on ) It was rarely easy to order myself and for my friend. In the stool seating area they have a large power strip where you could plug in your phone charger. I thought that was nice. I sat in a chair at a table and even though the chairs looks and comfortable they weren't too bad. The interior color Decor seems to be gray and purple in kind of reminded me of a prison with all the gray. (I have never been to prison) They called my name after a short amount of time and I retrieved our food and drink cups. I was VERY disappointed to find that they no longer carry the apple drink in the soda fountain. Sorry I dont know the name of it but it was my favorite thing there. I got the 5 dollar box and so did my friend. We ordered different ones but could not tell the difference First I must mention it's pretty nice deal to get a complete meal for 5 dollars. With the min wage increasing we are all paying for it and I counted somewhere between 8 and 10 people working. The minimum wage is increasing again soon in July to $12.50 that would mean it cost them $125 an hour just for employs (think the robots are coming? I bet my taco in it!). I hope they can keep the $5 box. That being said the food taste was very lackluster boring and just ok. Yeah I know it was a $5 box but usually the seem to have a little something going on and it wasn't bad but it also just was. I like the new technologies they have implemented into their store. The new decor is ok. I think I liked it better before with more colors but the outlets to charge phones is a nice feature. The food was ok the price was right. I will go back and hope it's a little better in the flavor department next time. Oh just an observation that I found a little strange, I didn't notice any Mexican people working on that day. I kinda like people from the origin of the food genre to be present when I'm ordering food from that region (thai food-thai people Italian food Italian-people Chinese food Chinese-people) but its...

I love taco bell. It is my favorite fast food, so coming back from the doctor my husband and I ordered through the app to pick up at the drive thru on our long way home. We went to the drive thru and said we had our order listed under his name. They then directed us to the window. When we got there they asked for his name again, upon which they said they didn't have our order. I showed my phone to show the placed order for that exact establishment. They then said again they didn't have it. We were confused as to why they had us come to the window, but we understand the app has problems of this nature. However, instead of asking for what we ordered and have it put in at the window they then had us go back through the drive thru line a second time. They rushed us to order when we got to the order screen despite us saying we needed a few minutes to figure out what we wanted (we had to change some of what we were ordering because we were previously ordering digital exclusives). When my husband went to order the new grilled cheese burrito deluxe box they said they didn't have it. We asked if they somehow were out but they insisted they didn't have it. This is despite the advertisement for this product is the entire top third of their menu. They then tried to say that we could get a number 10, the grilled cheese burrito soft taco combo was essentially the same just without chips (it really isn't given the totals for each item in the combo). I’ve tried a few times and it’s always been the same experience. They’re incredibly slow at this location, and they’ve never successfully given me everything I paid for without mistakes. Normally I just leave because it’s not worth it to wait or get out of my car.

Tonight I waited in the drive thru for 31 minutes. They put beef and cheese on a sub bean for beef fresco style Crunchwrap, and completely forgot the cinnamon twists I ordered. My wife walked up to the door with the receipt and was greeted by a woman and her snarky attitude telling her to go wait in the drive thru line again.

I get that you have corporate policies that prevent you from letting us in. But really?! You mess up your job and I have to burn another 30 minutes of my day?! That’s the slowest fast food I’ve ever heard of. Someone could have brought the food out. McDonalds does it all the time as well as every other one of your competitors. It wasn’t 3am in the middle of nowhere, it was 10pm in a crowded, well lit parking lot of Portland proper.

This location is a joke. The people that work here clearly can’t even do the incredibly simple job of making a taco and putting it in the bag. Go to any other location in the city. This one...
